Hotel Iris - San Diego

Saw 2 roaches. That says enough.

Nothing like the pictures. The carpet in our room was pretty dirty and the blankets were kinda dirty looking. The table and sofa chair were really old and worn out. The outside had urine smell and dog feces. The staff was nice and doing the best they could but place is pretty dirty.

AC was amazing. The room was able to get cold relatively quickly. I was able to sleep nice and cold.

I travel all over the states. And normally if I need an early check-in even by an hour, I’m accommodated. I showed up 20 minutes before three and 3 o’clock was the check-in time. There was no one in the hotel office except for the receptionist. it was very nice, but they could not allow me in 20 minutes early which I thought was absolutely ridiculous.. I actually left and did not come back for about four hours. secondarily when I turn the light on in the bathroom, there was literally cockroaches everywhere. And there happened to be a domestic violence dispute the morning I left so there was cops everywhere. It was not a good experience. I have stayed at this hotel about four or five years ago and I did not have the experience that I had this trip

Only thing enjoyable was that we endured this property as a family. The place was very run- down. Desperately need fumigation...roaches everywhere including our beds.

Overun with Meth addicts (though they did not mess with me). It was overpriced at $--- for the dump that it is.

Smell horrible absolutely disgusting horrible staff never gave me my refund back same day I got room same day I left this place need to close down asap

Staff was kind and helpful parking is extremely compact but workable the room was clean but the sheets had holes marker stains ac worked good. Overall it was good just a few things here and there.

Roaches and room was not clean. Still waiting for both Expedia and hotel property manager to get back to me for refund. Very disappointing.

Outdated and definitely needs a good deep cleaning. Stains on sheets!

room did not look that well maintained, fridge was beat up, had 2 microwaves one was broken the other was put on a bar stool, walls looked dirty, and didnt notice till late but room had roaches. had random people knocking on my door looking for the previous guest that was most definitely selling drugs out of the room, A/c unit did not work as well as it should, also the main vent was broken. you could hear everything that was happening outside loke it was happening right outside the window.

Good location, had an extra bed, for three people was perfect. AC unit/keycard/lights/water all actually worked as expected. Some dirty spots in the bathtub
