Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel Old Town

Went away for a week of rest and relaxation and this Hotel did not disappoint. Room was clean and bright. Pleasant surroundings. Staff friendly and helpful. Pleasant walk to Old Town.

Our room was clean, but felt a bit outdated and dark. We enjoyed the location in Old Town which allowed us to walk to dinner and shopping. Parking is convenient and feels safe.

Cute place close to old town. Yummy breakfast and rooms were very nice. We were there during a heat wave, no AC in the front lobby where breakfast was being served and the pool was extremely warm.

I lost an earring down the drain. The staff was very pleasant and the pool was very clean.

We checked in and in the room the sink was clogged, wouldn’t drain contacted maintenance and the gentlemen said 5 min and never showed up. We were busy during the day and came back to get some rest next morning noticed a blood stained pillow that was underneath the top pillow, which is completely unsanitary and at this point don’t even think the sheets were washed to begin with, very disappointing not a good comfy feeling.

This was our first time staying at Best Western Hacienda. The staff was very nice and helpful, even the other guest, were helpful and nice. The atmosphere was very pleasant. And so close to many other places and that was very nice. The only thing is I wasn’t familiar with the layout of the hotel and the elevators and the many stairs. But next time I know for sure how to book my next stay.

Room 616 needs maintenance. Shower handle is loose and difficult to use. AC is very noisy so we couldn't use it at night.

I liked the free breakfast, and the room amenities, such as shampoo, hand soap, and lotion. I also liked the filtered water. Love the location, which is across the street from all the old town shops and restaurants, you have to try the homemade flour tortillas in the plaza, and Rockin Baja restaurant.

Appreciated the included breakfast

Breakfast buffet should have more than 1 or 2 staff members helping with refills.

Really nice property. Nice room, friendly staff. The location is awesome - I could just walk out and be in the middle of everything. I used the pool and hot tub a lot - it helped my sore back.

Our stay was ok. Had better rooms before. This room had a view of a parking lot and parking garage was dimly lit in the daytime. But room was clean and was ok for 1 night.

Stayed with my family and it was amazing. Rooms were big and comfy

This hotel is in a great location. I really liked the old charm and staff was really nice. The only thing I didn't like was the room we got was very big, but it had a really unpleasant smell unsure if it was smoke mixed with an old smell. The door to the bathroom was broken and didn't close the bathtub was very old and like a pink mold on bathroom tiles the chairs had really big stains and the carpet was really dirty. For the price I paid I believe it was overpriced we were staying in an area where I believe people live. I paid 320.00 dollars for the night. I feel like we were staying in a motel. My husband had just had surgery a day before and honestly, I was really worried he would get infection. The bed sheets were clean but there was a lot of dust around nightstands and the smell it was really hard to get over. We had to catch an early flight due to this will never stay there again.

The hotel is clean but dated. Staff are very friendly and helpful, The rooms and furniture in the rooms need a face lift - updating. The location is great right in San Diego's old town within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops, as well as historical sites to see.
