room was small but very nice and clean, breakfast was fine, wasn't looking for deluxe accomodations but was very happy with this place and will stay again couldn't darken room as drapes didn't black out, but not really an issue as I was getting up in the morning anyhow

Convenient location and great price. The room was a bit humid the whole time and had a bit of a damp smell. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for sure!!

Cons: plug-ins only worked normal with my type c charger but my USB we had to tilt it to work, curtains closest to the windows were dingy,microwave was unplugged and not in a spot that could be plugged in easily

The one thing that really threw me off was the checkout experience. When I came to the front desk, the staff member just stared at me and said, “Checkout was an hour ago.” I wasn’t really sure what the purpose of that statement was or what response was expected from me. It wasn’t a question or a request, so I was left wondering whether I was supposed to acknowledge it, apologize, or what exactly they wanted me to do. If there was a late checkout fee, I honestly wouldn’t have minded paying it. That would have been much more straightforward than an awkward statement with no clear purpose. Overall, the location and conveniences were useful, but the checkout interaction left a strange final impression.

I like the location of this hotel, close to Old Town SD. All was well, I liked the bed, pillows, sheets were nice and crispy. Breakfast was good and a plus. Only thing, I didn't like and was not expecting was having to pay for parking and that they took $100 dollars from my card for deposit and was charged. I am sure it will be returned but kind of concerned about it.
