Located on the edge of Old Town, the view overlooks the freeway and some dumpy properties. The hotel itself has lovely architecture and is well maintained despite its age. Staff are fantastic, rooms are clean, location is safe. Family friendly. Recommended for anyone who wants a budget friendly stay in Dwn Diego located in Old Town.

great location - walked to old town each day and night. Great hotel. Rooms where what was needed and maybe a little elevated. Good bathroom. Everything you would need. Easy access to freeway to get to the beach or downtown. Was really happy with our stay. Also plenty of street parking close by instead of needing to pay

The dining staff and food were great. We ate there 3 times. The front desk staff was professional and friendly.
-
Loved the single-story annex and having a private patio for breakfast. You can't beat the location either—Old Town is just a short, easy walk away.
-
Bed was hard pillows are down feather so extra soft room was clean problem with ac and plumbing mildew came out the faucet in the tub and the drain didn't wasn't working properly
-
Besides the room being a little stuffy upon entry, everything else was good.
-
Very conveniently located in Old Town and right off the 5. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

We immensely enjoyed spending time at the pool during our stay. We were often out and about and very rarely in our rooms. We ate at the bistro several times and were not impressed by food options, but the food we got was well made. This hotel was walking distance from Old Town, as well as two convenience stores that supplied us with snacks at a cheaper price than the hotel. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for people able to walk to Old Town and are looking to eat adventurously (if you don’t mind a walk).

Very disappointing. Parking is now $30, the restaurant is expensive and the staff is very lackadaisical.

Loved the stay here everything was super clean and staff were very friendly, just wish the parking was free for its guests!

The only bad part was when I checked out I left my medicine in the refrigerator and after I got home, I remembered and called them and they said they never found it
-
The room was clean and the staff were helpful. I accidentally left something in the room after check out and they found it, called me back asap and held it for me to come back and grab it.

Location was great, staff were very helpful, restaurant was good, though expensive. It took three tries to get a tolerable room. In the first one, the AC made an awful noise all the time. In the second, an accessible room in a different building, the refrigerator was open and there was a soaking wet towel in it. They took care of that quickly. I was going to stay in the room, but when I took a shower, the shower head was so low I had to crouch to get under it, and the handheld kept veering off to shoot outside of the tub. Plus there was almost no counter space, definitely not enough for two people. So I got a new room. It was good, except there was this ticking noise. I never could find the source and I just lived with it because I couldn’t deal with moving again.

Staff was very helpful and comforting. The accommodations were amazing and this will be a memorable stay.

We rented what was described as a king bed suite with a fold out sofa bed that sleeps 4. The sofa bed was actually a TWIN sized bed for one, meaning there is no way the room we paid extra for could actually sleep more than 3 people. Totally incorrect and deceptive in the description. Difficult for our family to stay. Did not enjoy.

Everything, specially how close is to old town San Diego and the train station. I liked everything

Amazing and good distance

Nice location. The staff was very friendly. The only issue was the parking. It was difficult finding parking space
