Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego Bay Downtown

Great location and walkability to different attractions in the area. Breakfast buffet excellent choices for hot and cold foods, happy hour fun beverage choices and snacks to go with! Our room was very clean and all the staff was very helpful and friendly. I've stayed at this Embassy Suites three times now and I will choose it again for my next trip to San Diego.

You can't beat the location but the hotel itself was very disappointing. We had a terrible night's sleep due to a noisy frustrating AC unit. On top of that the breakfast buffet was not good at all and there is no standard parking available only a $70 valet fee. Between the lack of sleep and the hidden costs, it simply wasn't worth it.

Our experience was terrible, we had to call for basic room cleaning services and towels after 4pm. The air conditioning unit made a loud alarm buzz sound between 2am and 6am, we were unable to sleep Friday night. When we informed the front desk, the staff said,”some people can sleep through sounds and some cannot, but I’ll send someone to look into it.” We spent most of our Saturday through text trying to find out when an engineer could fix the air conditioner noise issue, the solution at 6pm recommended was not to run the air conditioner, only run the fan if you want to sleep. The outside windows to our room were spotty and dirty. But, I must admit the continental breakfast was fairly good, and the young parking attendants were helpful and polite.

This is the third Embassy Suites we have stayed at and none of them have disappointed. Great amenities, great breakfast, comfortable beds, and fantastic downtown location. It was walkable to so much and within 30 minutes of beautiful beaches. We'd happily stay again.

Breakfast was fantastic. Room was spacious and the location was perfect for the areas we were planning to visit. Would definitely come back to this hotel Valet only for parking was quite expensive

The staff was amazing. Breakfast was super good!!! Especially the à la carte made-to-order omelet. The room was spacious, but the carpet and sofa were stained. But the overall stay was fun

The restaurant on site had good variety menu and tasty options The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The indoor pool wasn’t very big and there was no jacuzzi.

Centrally located wonderful hotel!

They advertise about free breakfast which is true, however, it's not organized in a way you would expect or enjoy in a 4 star hotel. There is a long line to pickup your plate and there is one or two staff who will serve the food which is extremely slow. You have to stand in another line if you want omelet or any other hot cooked food. Other basic things like cereal, bread are there, for sure. If this were a basic hotel, I would be OK with it, but not for a $500 night hotel. Also, they force you to use their valet parking which is $70 a night.

I like staying at the embassy suites because it is close to many popular sites in San Diego.

Overall nice stay there for a conference. Rooms was clean, but one day its wasn’t cleaned when I returned around 4pm. But later I got a knock to clean my room but I’m back so it’s not convenient. Probably should try to clean all rooms by 4 pm as some people like the 4pm rest. All the staff was nice, but could smile more. :)

Downside, only do valet parking and its about $100. Gym needs more equipment and no hot tub.

Stay was pleasant and met our needs. Accommodations were comfortable and restaurant was excellent. Some maintenance items were visible and our shower didn’t work but was immediately fixed. A bit disappointed that some amenities were no longer provided at Embassy suites such as toiletries (shower caps, body lotion etc) or Kleenex. Coffee bar items weren’t replaced daily and had to be requested. For $699 per night was slightly lacking.

First time at this hotel. Nice and clean facility no complaint there. No parking available for guest, they couldn’t accommodate parking because I have a Tesla and I didn’t have my card with me which I understand it is my fault however I asked if I can just park it somewhere in the facility and I won’t move it during my stay, they said couldn’t, they said they are a third party company and they don’t have to if they don’t want to. I asked in the front desk and nothing could be done. I had a handicap person with me and I had to struggle looking for parking else where. Lastly sone of the ice machines were not working.
