Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina

I paid for a Bayview balcony, and I had an obstructed view. Technically, I could see the bay, but knowing that people on higher floors were getting the full view for the exact same price was not great.

I usually stay at the Hilton, but will be staying here in the future. The only negatives that need to be considered and addressed is: For the whole North Tower, there were only 4 elevators for the hundreds of rooms. We waited up to 15-20 minutes just to get on the elevator. Pool lounges were mostly free, but the many that were surrounding the pool were around $150 each a day!!! That's $600 for a family of 4. You may not need to reserve one, but most were empty during the 4th of July holiday, while all the others had towels on them all by 8 am, so it was a pain just trying to enjoy the pool.

The property was beautiful and the places we ate were delicious. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful.

I really enjoyed the hotel, but there was a obvious elevator problem. The wait was as if only one elevator served the hole tower. So bad.

The elevator situation is terrible. After waiting 20 minute for an empty elevator (there are 6 but only 2-3 work) we took the elevator up from the 16th floor just to come down (and stop on every floor with no room to let others in.

I would definitely come back, the rooms are clean and new. Location is very close to all the tourist spots. Staff are very friendly and respectful.

Will always be first choice hotel to stay. Very convenient within walking distance.

My experience was not what I expected it to be. There weren’t many dining options, not all of the bars by the pool were open and the elevators were hard to come by. We had to wait a long time just to catch an elevator. Our room was listed as newly renovated, meanwhile the toilet paper holder was broken, there wasn’t any lotion provided in the room and the towels were very poor quality.

Friendly staff very accommodating. Clean facility and beautiful view. Pool was awesome.

The pool was amazing. Checking in was simple & Staff was amazing. Shoutout to the housekeepers they were so polite and friendly and kept my room fresh and clean everyday. I can't wait to come back.

There was a dirty bandage on the balcony and I was in a room right next to the elevators so it was noisy and difficult to get good sleep

Beautiful hotel offering great restaurants and clean comfy rooms. We will definitely book this hotel again.

Great location, pool is fantastic and helpful staff. We’d definitely stay here again!

Vacation business

Resort like property with island vibes. Very bustling though if that is not your thing. Check-in was unfriendly, rude, and unkind. Set the trip off on a bad note. Otherwise excellent stay and convenient location.

Very nice stay. Just stayed one night for a staycation. The room are nice, clean and new. We had a balcony overlooking the bay. It's small, but did the job. The view was great. The pool area was very nice. Two pools and a hot tub with poolside bar. Check in took a while because there was a long line; otherwise, no complaints. It's a great location if you want to be at the bay, in downtown and/or right next to the convention center.

Really nice hotel; friendly, helpful staff; clean (housekeeping staff was great); nice pool area; convenient location - steps away from seaport village, ferry, midway; totally enjoyed our stay in 2 adjoining rooms with kids. Four stars because of food choices- Starbucks only open till 2 and twice the price outside the hotel; poolside bar/grill closed at 5; Marina Grill super expensive. The Exchange had decent food and was open at all hours but pricey. With kids, we needed to eat at the hotel more than we would have liked. However, that said, we would stay there again!
