Motel 6 San Diego, CA - Hotel Circle - Mission Valley

Where to begin...The flooring was lifting and warped and the floors were filthy, to the point I bought my own broom just to clean first. We woke up and went to the beach and came back to water pouring through the bathroom fan/sprinkler? I called the front desk and they moved our room one door down to an equally dirty room where the floors were gross! The elevator was not working, which I have a daughter in a wheelchair that does not walk! Honestly, the Motel experience was terrible! The only thing good was the price and convenient location to MCRD where we were attending graduation. The night following our room being switched, the first room was being occupied, which means there was no repair or cleanup to the leak, which is downright disgusting with the humidity levels in CA and the rowth of mold? I gave it a one star review, but if I could give a negative star, I would.

Room smelled. Floor was lifting . Floor in bathroom was so dirty . WiFi sucks when I called front desk to ask how to connect they simply said WiFi is not very good you are probably in a bad place . I had to stand next to the window to get WiFi signal as soon as I moved it disconnected. Elevator was not working so I had to take the stairs with all my luggage and a 10 month old and a 2 year old.Never again don’t recommend this place.

The lobby was locked at check in, so I waited 15 mins til someone showed up who informed us she had to go to the bathroom and there was none in the lobby. There was someone smoking crack on the balcony when I walked to the room. I didn’t feel safe leaving my car there. The room was dirty. It had one bar of soap. One washcloth. 2 small worm bath towels. The bed was no queen size like the reservation, it was full with 2 small pillows. I bought my pillows in from the car, which I threw away the next morning. Just awful.

First off our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait 30 minutes for it to be cleaned. Which would be fine if it was actually cleaned. But it was not. It had a terrible smell. The sink was clogged. The shower didn’t work it was leaking. But maintenance was called and he came real quick. He even suggested that we get a different room. But we were told they were sold out. He did his best and fixed the shower with a whole new hose and shower head and the hot water was fixed. So maintenance was great but everything else was terrible. I do not recommend staying here ever!!!

The bed was more comfortable than I expected. Hotel staff was friendly. The proximity to freeway good and bad. Air conditioner worked good. I couldn't close door to bathroom. Temperature was 61 degrees in room when I arrived. TV was tiny and many of the channels were 4:3 instead of widescreen. The WiFi wasn't very good. The parking lot was tiny. All of these items I listed were not deal breakers by any means, but the reason I likely wouldn't stay here in the future is due to the proximity to the freeway. It was very difficult to sleep with the noise from the freeway.

The room needs some intense maintenance. Floor board and walls were broken. There was not a lamp in the bathroom. Floors were filthy. Staff was friendly.

I traveled to San Diego from Los Angeles from 7/16 to 7/19 for my family reunion and stayed at Motel 6. It was around 11pm the night of the 16th when I arrived with my kids. I checked in and got the room key. On the way to the room I instantly was not satisfied with the up keeping of the property. The elevator had some sort of liquid inside of it. Then when I got off the elevator to the floor my room was on I smelled a urine smell all on dat particular floor not to mention my room was literally towards the other end. I get in my room to discover the room was super fifthy like it haven't been cleaned from the previous guess. There also something in the room biting us up. My son &daughter and myself got bitten by something in dat room. I went back down to the lobby and they gave us another room which was alot better than da other room. Personally I was still not satisfied with the price I paid for this dump.

. The Tv did not work . The bathroom floor was dirty . Homeless people were banging on my door 3 times in a night. It was the worse experience I have had in a Hotel.

Air conditioning and parking, bed , towels clean, and bathroom were good, floor needs more attention when cleaning.

The location of the hotel is good. It is close to old town, the mall and not far from sea world. Although the staff was friendly, upon arrival the elevator was not working, the key did not open our door the second night staying there had to go back to the front desk and get new keys. The blankets were torn, there was a dry blood stain on the bathroom floor and the room had a funny smell. We never got clean towels and the room was not serviced during our stay. There was no breakfast and the WiFi did not work either. Very busy area off the freeway. You get what you pay for.

Probably one of the better motel sixes in San Diego actually is the best one I see in San Diego. Thank you guys for amazing service and rooms are really clean and neat.

Hotel room could not be occupied. The room/ hotel was in extremely poor condition, the stanch of Pinesol / bleach cleaning chemicals was so strong it caused our skin irritations, mouth and nose irritations, we had to leave the room immediately. The entire building smelled of these chemicals. We were in the room approximately 5 minutes before we had to leave. The front desk clerk said there was nothing she could do. We left the hotel. request a refund due hotel condition

Pleasant

Don't let the pictures deceive you. There are no palm trees, umbrellas, or lounge chairs by the pool. The property needs work. There are homeless and sketchy people around the area. Elevators are dirty, room was clean but had to ask for a shower curtain because there was none. Air conditioning was good and staff were not friendly and didn't smile.
