The Alcala Hotel Mission Valley/Seaworld

I like that it small not to many ppl the remodel parking is amazing breakfast included definitely a plus got me with that That the pool closes to early i will like atlest 1130 to midnight 12 a lot of the theme parks close at 9:00 by the time you get to your hotel it's 9:30 10:00 and sometimes you want to enjoy and relax the hot tub or the pool but you can because it closes at 10:00 it doesn't give you enough time I can hear the ppl rolling there luggage n slamming the door

Breakfast was amazing Staff were very kind. Got to my motel early, amd they said your room is ready, didnt have to wait til 4pm to check in. Thats was awesome! Great location! This will be where I stay when I come to SanDiego again. Highly recommend, very affordable also

My favorite place to stay for a quick trip to San Diego. Very comfortable and clean rooms. The pool and hot tub add a special touch to your stay. Front desk customer service is superb. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also delicious with hot coffee station.

My room was clean and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint was having to beg to be let in my room. I was told I would be discharged from the UCSD ER around 11:30 pm and it was 4:00-4:30 am when I left. I had an Uber take me to the hotel. I was speaking to the employee thru the late night window and she said I was a “no show.” I had to beg to be let into the room I paid for. I have stage iv cancer and was exhausted from the ER experience and did not need to experience what I did at the hotel. The employee relented and let me check in.

Access to the pool and Jacuzzi. Small but clean rooms Super helpful and friendly staff Basically everything you would want for a budget stay

I never stayed at the hotel! Photos of the hotel didn’t not match it in real time! Rooms are extremely small and the hotel common areas were dirty! Requested a refund and was reassured by hotel I would receive it but I still haven’t!

The toilet wouldn’t flush properly and sink was not working properly

Price was low compared to nearby properties. Loud freeway noise. Corridors and elevator in poor condition. Overcrowded and very marginal breakfast. And like most properties in the area it charged for parking.

I was only in the hotel for one night. The location is central but I was most impressed at checkin as my keys were ready

Exceptional

Had a great time! I booked a last minute stay due to an issue at my last hotel, i booked it around 10:45pm and arrived 15 minutes later to find that my room card, parking permit, and all other info was already set up. Shiela at the front desk was so kind and friendly. The room was clean, the mini fridge is perfect, the wifi works great, and there is a microwave in the lobby for 24/7 use. The continental breakfast was awesome with coffee, juice options, and even a fresh waffle bar! I didn’t get to try the gym or the pool but they both seemed clean and i’ll definitely be retuning!
