Walking in the property feels like you are transitioning straight into vacation mode. The luxury ambiance and tropical vibes set the tone right from the start. Walking out of the lobby you are transcended into a plaza full of bright lounge areas next to firepits and lush greenery. Rooms are available to your liking, whether it be privacy or vip status. Enjoy the pool slides and fruity drinks by the lounge. Swinging in the hammock while the kids play bocce ball was my favorite moment. Hot Tip: Buy the smores kit and ask for extra coffee for your room. Have fun!

The shampoo was empty for two days and we had to put in a request to get it filled. The parking and tourism fees are ridiculous.

I really wanted to like this stay because of the reviews/price. It was really difficult to get parking daily as well as effective room servicing. When I checked in it took 40 minutes with about 30-40 people in line. I wanted to shower and found there was only shampoo, no conditioner or shower gel. I called to have refilled but they didn’t do it. The amenities are good but they are very packed. You can hear your neighbors and their kids (good for families, maybe not so for a lovers retreat). The furniture is very worn with staining (the side table in my room has chipping/couch had stains). Sometimes the sheets or towels have hitchhikers (hair/smells) from wherever they wash them (I didn’t use the pool but the towels smelled of pool water). Maybe it was a fluke of an experience but I’m a bit disappointed. The staff seemed to want to be helpful but the amount of people made it difficult.

The only downside to this hotel are the 6 person limit elevators. We only had 2 in our building so the wait was really long. Some guests were irritated so they ended up using the stairs. This hotel is family and pet friendly. Overall, we had a lovely stay at this hotel.

Our family had an overall pleasant stay, largely thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. While the property is highly accommodating for families and very pet-friendly, several hidden costs and missing amenities negatively impacted our experience. Prospective travelers should be aware of the following details before booking. After booking through Expedia, the hotel messaged me via the app regarding a mandatory, additional charge of $34.50 per day. Because I did not see this notification until arrival, it felt like an unexpected hidden fee. Overnight parking is priced at $40 per day. While we did not bring a vehicle, this is a significant additional cost to calculate into your budget. Dining at the hotel is premium-priced. For a family of three, a standard, simple meal without alcohol averages between $100 and $200. Prices quickly escalate beyond $200 for more upscale menu options. Standard complimentary toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste are not pre-stocked in the rooms. Travelers should pack their own.Appliances- Rooms are not equipped with microwaves, which may require minor adjustments to your meal planning. Final Verdict- The service from the staff was excellent, and the atmosphere is highly welcoming if you travel with pets. However, due to the lack of transparency regarding daily fees and basic room amenities, I see it as a 2-3 star experience.

My only concern was the fact that it’s open to anyone. Anyone can walk in with their food/drinks and sit by the fire pits and access the restaurants which made everything so crowded. The pool was the only place restricted to hotel guests.

Good please.

Loved the retro beachy vibe

Floors were dirty in our room and the ADA bathroom looked dated for the equipment

Have not been to this resort in about 15 years. Looks like they poured in millions to update it and added new rooms and a parking structure along with a couple of nice restaurants on site and a pool slide. Good value for a family visit to San Diego. This time I was on a golfing trip with friends and the bars on site made for a great place to chill after a long day of golf.

Kid friendly hotel with lots of activities for the kids. In house restaurant and bar by the pool with great mozzarella sticks. Also the kids really like the fire pits to roast marshmallows.
-
Excellent choice for family getaway. There are multiple pools and fire pits for large groups to hang out. Very kids friendly. Staff is really helpful.

The room was beautiful and the area was a delight

Staff were rude; the hotel was full, couldn't do anything, not even enjoy the fire pit, and there were a lot of missing ingredients, and the menu was not accurate. It was a terrible stay.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However the rooms didn't look as nice as the pictures showed. There were also some fees that weren't disclosed on the Expedia website. Like the $200 deposit, or the $38 per night parking fees or the $30 per day cleaning fee. Also there were roaches in the room. Overall the facility was really nice, lots of nice amenities, but the rooms were average at best. There was also some confusion on parking. They said the parking was included with the $38 per day charge, but didn't explain how to use the room key to get in and out of the garage. So I ended up paying $25 out of pocket and when I figured out the room key was how to get in and out. Then my key wasn't activated to use for the parking garage. I asked the staff about it and they fixed it and said they would refund me the $25 I had to pay, since my room key wasn't activated for the parking garage.
