Castle Inn

First the walls are paper thin and you can hear all your neighbour’s conversations, to the point where you will be able to hear them snoring in the night. The bedsheets also smelled like not enough detergent was used. Probably the worst thing however was the heating/cooling box randomly and very noisily turning on every few hours including in the middle of the night disturbing my sleep. Overall, for the price it was ok, but for a little more you can definitely find better options.

We had a great stay at the Castle Inn . The room was clean and comfortable one thing I always like is good water pressure and hot water that doesn't take forever to reach the faucet and they delivered . The parking was a big plus . We plan on staying whenever we're in San Francisco.

Not a bad option for a short stay. Clean. Very good location, easy to get to most of the SF attractions. Staff at reception is very helpful.

Great location for everything

Location is great. Parking is great. A Strong smell … they said it’s the same odor from a disinfecting soap in every room when I asked to change the room. They gave me much better and larger room but it still had some smell. It also had a very old, stained carpet. The receptionist (woman) was very pleasant and helpful.

We actually have nothing truly negative to say about this place. Check in was easy and helpful. Parking was great. We left our car in the garage under the hotel for 4 days and it was fine. Elevator was slow but useful. We asked for a room on the top floor and in the back away from the traffic and that's exactly what we got. The room itself was clean and roomy. Everything worked fine except the TV which had connecting issues. AC, microwave, .coffee maker, and mini fridge were all clean and worked. Shower pressure and temperature were great. We did not care for the carpet as it was old and stained, but it was clean. The bed was very large and soft with decent pillows. Also had 2 chairs and a long desk with a chair. Lots of lighting. No noise from guests. Housekeeping was friendly and respectful. Many places to eat and shop within minutes of walking. Safe area. We would absolutely stay again when visiting. So rare to have everything go right for once.

Room was clean and the staff was helpful. It is pretty noisey and parking is tight. Overall a positive experience apart from the noise and it is easy to access a lot of the sights from the location.

It is a basic room. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom was clean. It’s a good place to sleep, but not luxury.

Great location and an above average motel for the area. Staff is excellent! Easy and quick check in and out.

The location was incredible! A 15-20 minute walk got us to several great locations, including down by the water. The staff was very polite and friendly, and made the check in process easy. The only significant issue we encountered was with the rough looking old carpet in our room. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, and my advice would be to get a corner room for a beautiful view.

Hotel room was spacious and clean. The property was in a good location. However, the faucet in the bathroom sink was not bolted in at all (held in place only by caulking). Similar situation with the tub/shower valve . . dangling by a thread, but still functional. Big surprise, the TV only received one channel, no guide, no menu. I even reset the receiver . . The only available programming was hour after hour of "Love It Or List It". The ice machine was out of order as well but no sign indicating such. Parking was good. With a little TLC it could have been a much nicer stay.

This motel was OK. It did the job as we needed a room to sleep in with a parking space. The parking space was definitely a dealbreaker for me. The staff were pretty much straightforward. There are really no amenities there other than vending machines. It was a basic place to stay if you need a place to crash in San Francisco but plan to be out and about.

Here, ask the hotel to apologise and compensate for the loss of about 800 dollars, or offset the room charge. We will continuously evaluate and wait for the reply!

Given the location and the price that includes parking, this is an excellent place to stay.
