Great value for the price!

I like that parking was included and the place was clean. What I didn’t like was that I got there 30 minutes early and they told me that my room wasn’t ready, but there were already 15 people waiting in the lobby. They didn’t start checking anyone in until exactly 3 o’clock when I believe that the rooms were ready. They just wouldn’t check people in and as everybody else came in there was a total of 30 people in a tiny little lobby and in no order to check in so once 3 o’clock came, everybody jumped up at the same time and I didn’t get in my room until 4 o’clock. At that point, I thought the whole experience was going to suck, but it was actually pretty good after that and I was happy when I left. Thanks.

Great for a quick stop on the way to GWL!

My stay went very well! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Everything was well-maintained, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The host was friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place to others. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

I especially want to recognize the amazing staff. During our stay, our car battery died, and I was understandably stressed since we had driven all the way to San Francisco on a road trip. I went to the front desk for help, and JJ immediately jumped into action. She quickly radioed Tito, who came out to help us. Both JJ and Tito were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and I can’t thank them enough for their kindness. While they were helping us, another guest even offered to help jump our car, which really speaks to the welcoming atmosphere of this hotel. It felt like more than just a place to stay—it felt like a safe, caring community for travelers. Thank you to JJ, Tito, and the entire staff for making our trip so memorable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in San Francisco, and I will absolutely be staying here again the next time I visit!

Beyond our unit, there was a little hotel lobby with some large couches and tables. There was a shared kitchen space and luggage storage room. Beyond that was a patio, which was really neat. It was fully enclosed and featured a bunch of picnic tables, more comfy seating, and a pool table. We only did internet browsing there but the common wifi worked perfectly for that. Samesun is located in the Marina area, which is a great spot. It's walkable to various attractions and restaurants, safe, and has good transport options to reach other areas of the city. The one thing I might suggest is a tighter staffing of the front desk. When we arrived at night to check-in, we had to wait quite a while for someone to appear. There was no sign or anything so we were a tad concerned for a bit there. During check-out around 11 am, I wanted to talk to someone at the front desk, but there was again no one present. This time there was sign indicating they would be back. However, there were three couples ahead of me and no sign of any worker after 10 minutes, so I just did express check-out and made an alternate arrangement. Despite the above little hiccups, everything did work out, and the property was better than expected. I would be happy to return here.

Nearby public transportation Stop to Golden Gate Park & GG Bridge (bus28), as well as around 15 minutes walking to Pier39 and SF bay. Friendly staffs and good basic breakfast, (bagels, coffee, orange juice). A rental bike is nearby if you interested.

Daily housekeeping for the dorm room to clean up the restroom. Free parking is a huge plus, but spots are limited. Breakfast is basic. Plan to store your own food in the shared fridges for better meal. Only microwaves and toasters available if you plan to make your own meals. Hot water kettle available for use.

great breakfast

I requested to speak to the manager and solve the situation at least in the form of compensation as they did not fix the AC during the whole day and nobody contacted me and charged me full price of $450.

I've stayed here like 5 times and I really love this place. It's always clean, I like that the rooms are minimalistic and with light colors. The staff is always really nice, and the location is amazing. The zone feels safe at day and night and you can walk to the piers and restaurants nearby.

Everything was ok for the price. The only thing I had a problem with was that the bed were not that comfortable including the pillows. The breakfast could have been better. It was cheaper then a lot of other hotels near by so you get what you pay for. In the end everything was ok.

Location and staff Carpet needs to go and need to repaint hallway and closets of the private rooms if you’re paying more than the hostels bedroom setup. As soon as you walk in the room, the carpet stinge welcomes you.

Location for work, clean, and quiet. Good vibe in the common space.

The location is great and its a pretty clean place. I enjoy my stay. There was a frige in the room so we went to the supermarket and grab some food for the week and we kept it cool. The breakfast ended too early

Location I stayed in a private room with my toddler and unfortunately it was a very bad experience. The room was unsafe and uncomfortable: I found a needle in the room, the air conditioning was not working properly, and there was loud noise late at night and early in the morning, so we could not sleep. Because of these conditions, I had to book another hotel for the second night, even though I had already paid for this reservation. The accommodation did not refund me for the unused night. When I spoke to the front desk, I felt my concerns were not taken seriously. This stay was not suitable or safe for a family with a small child. Finding a needle in a room where a toddler is staying is a serious safety issue, not just an inconvenience

Clean rooms, helpful staff, parking was a great plus
