Great location and very friendly staff. I was checked in exactly at the specified time without any issues. The room was quite small, but since it's a dorm, that was expected. Overall, I had a good experience and a comfortable stay, with no problems at all. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly place to stay. The breakfast is quite basic, which is understandable considering the budget. It would have been even better if sliced bread had been included. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about.

Passable

The staff is nice and friendly and it was clean. There’s no parking!!! They say on the listing about parking, but the parking is $25 and it is located 10 minutes walking from the hostel. If you have luggage, you gonna have to walk 10 minutes carrying it in San Francisco. Also, they charge $1 per towels. The pillows are very thin and small.

The location is fantastic ! The place is clean and the living room is spacious. The bathrooms were clean and outside the bedrooms which is good. It's the perfect place to meet people! I spent five nights there and, at various events, billards and breakfast, I met students with whom I had a great time. I'm a 22-year-old woman traveling alone. This hostel isn't the cheapest, but it's definitely the best for meeting people! The only point to improve is the breakfast : it is good, but not varied. An other kind of bread would be welcome. It’s still a good breakfast with fruits, yoghurts and bagels

It had a great location and really nice vibes. The place has many bathrooms you can use by yourself, which is always a bonus for me. Breakfast included was also a bonus. It wasn't that clean, and the privacy was not ideal, but overall it was worth it!

Vintage arcade machine, free breakfast, they sell locks cheap with their logo on them Outside area was kinda sketchy
-
Solid included breakfast, duvet, private bathroom and showers, sink in dorm room, accommodation staff, included dry sauna, big beautiful chill out room, organized washing dish system, free filtered water Code on door took 4 times of input before it would open EVERY time, wish it were slightly more economic for hostel prices ($10/night less)

Very good

Fine budget hostel, the beds are old but good enough. In the morning there are free bagels and oats! I stayed there during the weekend and next door is a club that’s open until 3am. I could even feel the bas of the music in the room so hard to sleep before 3am, but I think it’s fine during the week.

Location can’t be beat. Love the North Beach neighborhood and proximity to Little Italy and Chinatown. What a great place for walking, shopping, and restaurants. There was no downside to staying at the green tortoise.

I liked the location. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful. This is an old building so the hot water took a long time to get to the top floor. I would have liked honey for the morning yogurt.

Everything works, staff is courteous and instructions are clear Bathrooms showers have weak pressure but otherwise work well
