Kimpton Alton Fisherman's Wharf by IHG

Great location, nice toiletries, comfy bed. Extremely noisy air con, so don't expect to sleep. Really low water pressure. Stayed for 6 nights and the bed linen wasn't changed. Lower ground floor room, so couldn't open the blind without passers by looking in. No tea and coffee making in the room. Clicked on the in room TV question to say we were not happy, but no-one contacted us. We were not inclined to waste any more money in this hotel, but the breakfast at the Hyatt opposite is excellent.

Clean room helpful stuff

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great, the hotel itself was very nice and the room was comfortable. We also appreciated the complimentary afternoon drinks in the lobby and the free bottled water each time we left the hotel, which were thoughtful touches. One of the reception staff members came across as a little rude during our stay. However, all other staff we encountered were excellent, so this did not detract significantly from our overall experience.

Staff were friendly, helpful and excellent in all areas of hotel. Happy hour and good free coffee too! Nice bar and restaurant onsite.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. I loved that they provided a record player and had records you could borrow. That was so fun! Also, the room had a yoga mat which was so nice for morning stretches. The staff were all helpful and the valet guy Michael was so nice and quick! We loved the fruit infused waters in the lobby. This hotel is steps away from Fisherman’s Wharf and not too far of a walk to North Beach and Chinatown so that was so nice too. We would definitely stay at the Kimpton Alton again.

The property was great but we weren’t sure why there was such a high resort fee.

Room was not very clean. And the AC was SUPER noisy. Rattling all night. Bed was not comfy. And the view out the window was literally the dumpster area. It's a safe hotel and area, but the room was a little disappointing. The carpet felt almost wet. Needs to be replaced.

Clean room, Some staff members were great the older staff members were rude, Parking is an issue but there is a parkade near by, Great location, Lobby is great, Building is older.

Staff was very friendly. Location was just a short walk to the pier. Price of parking was $85 per day for valet.

Mary at the front desk was so helpful in arranging our stay for one more night. The cappuccino was best ever and loved the food was great. All staff were fantastic and location is perfect.

Good stay

The staff did not go out of there way to be helpful if you had any type of request. There was a clothing steamer but no iron. One elevator for the entire floor and it was so slow! On the plus side, its a great location. Oh and a $36 resort fee per night! Probably better choices
