Ever since then whenever I call the front desk, they reserve that same room for me. That’s how you really make a guest feel at home. Then, the last time I stayed there m one of the two tvs wasn’t working so the lady at the front desk said she would switch me to another room. I was very concerned that I wasn’t being downgraded but that’s not at all what she had in mind. Just when I thought I found the perfect suite, she upgraded me again for free to an even bigger suite with an even larger bedroom, slightly larger living room with a bar and a walk in closet. Both suites were comparable or nicer than the biggest suites at the st Regis and four seasons except 10% the price of the st Regis and about $8,000 dollars cheaper than the four seasons (depending on the date, st Regis can be that expensive too). 5/5 will be staying here again (probably within 24-48 hours of writing this).

Just ok

Very clean, classy lobby, friendly useful staff. Property feels well maintained but still a flickering bathroom light, a noisy ventilator, even noisier elevator, the gym can be a little better. Close by Union Square, but very hard to park. Overall a good experience.

We were able to use our $30 credit at the hotel cafe, Kendrick’s - a beautiful venue with ample seating and excellent breakfast choices! We will definitely return to bring our family later, this summer.

Great location, large rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

-
Amazing concierge, facilities, room and presentation clean and fresh. We love the Clift and will return every year! From the Adelaide family x

Size of the room. Beds were good. Location was awkward. On a one way street not as close to the Pier as we thought. Parking was not available. Paid 120.00 to park for 2 nights.

Our stay at this historic hotel was so nice. I recommend breakfast as it was delicious and so convenient. While our room was very comfortable and modern, the highlight was listening to jazz in the Redwood Room. Service and atmosphere were phenomenal.

If you're going for breakfast though go early as they run out of good stuff early..

Great hotel and location. Only con, no parking.

Great service!!!

The location was very centric but I felt unsafe during the night. The hotel doesn’t have any restaurant, only a lobby bar with a very limited menu.
-
Hotel is very good located. Walking distance to the hop on hop off bus, couple of nice coffee shops, cable car very close too. I’ve tried the Frederick’s restaurant for a breakfast and I think value vs. quality - I didn’t like it. So for that reason I went every morning for a breakfast different places and was happy.

This is my third time staying at The Clift Royal Sonesta, and it continues to be one of my favorite hotels in San Francisco. The rooms are always beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, and I especially love the modern design and city views. The location is great, and every stay has been comfortable and enjoyable. I don’t mind paying a little extra because the rooms and overall experience are always worth it. My only complaint was the parking situation. During a previous stay, valet parking was available, but this time I had to find a nearby parking garage on my own. Since I’m not very familiar with the area, it was a little stressful and inconvenient. Other than that, I had a great stay.

General a good stay. But very loud noise from the next room late night 1-3am

A great hotel

Awesome and we stay there consistently 👏

Breakfast spot was charming and efficient. Would have liked a bar area to watch games but other than that comfortable room in the heart of Nob Hill area.

The Clift is a SFO staple and despite Sonesta modernised it, it still has its charm. The building is historic, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are new, the staff is super friendly, the location is just off the Union Square. The complimentary wifi was tad slow and couple of the conference calls had frozen image. I did not tried the paid wifi as I believe in a hotel like this, the high speed internet should be complimentary.
