Room was very nice & well maintained. Hallways & entrance could use a little work. The lack of free coffee was disappointing. Staff was super courteous & helpful.

Es war alles in Ordnung.

The night desk attendant was so lazy. Asked for an extra pillow and he didn’t even attempt to help. Just said no. Loud. Might as well have been sleeping outside. Without AC as well. Won’t be back.

This last time I visited I got a not so good corner room. I did not like that there was a door next to the bed with no night stand leading to... ? Who knows where. That sucked but someone has to stay in that room I suppose. I will take the L this time because the previous times I have gotten a good room& I like this place. As a suggestion... that room sucks lol and I hope it gets remodeled.

The pictures shown in the web page were nothing like the real thing. There was a stain in the bathroom that I'm sure it was blood, hotel says it was a stain from the metalic bin, but the bin was made of plastic... they show very vage pictures and over expect , to find it has nothing to do. My body also hurts from the terrible bed. I requested a refund at least for.the second night but it was denied. I was offered to change the room but my wife had such a bad experience and cried all night... she begged me to leave... I wish they considered at least a partial refund but nothing... I really don't give negative reviews but if I don't at least get a partial refund it will be terrible. There is more to say like no air conditioning, a cart full parts let's in front of my door, smell was bad, etc.

The staff here were so nice and accommodating. We were coming from out of town and wanted to explore the city after check out. They let us keep our bags at the hotel while we explored. The rooms were clean and properly maintained as well.

The location was excellent, and it was a very sensible choice in terms of value for money. Also, the staff and the owner were very helpful and attentive.

Location is good very close to lot's of places. The hotel is cleaning the rooms everyday, The rooms are small but they are doing their job. Also the breakfast & lunch place at the entrance of the hotel is really good. The door cards are loosing their ability to open the doors frequently. It wasn't caused any problems for me because you can find someone at the front desk all the time.

I stayed at Touchstone Hotel for almost four weeks while attending conferences in San Francisco, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The location is excellent, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, shops, and many of the city’s attractions. What impressed me most was the care and attention of the owners and staff. Every day they made sure the hotel was clean, comfortable, and that guests had everything they needed. The reception team was always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with any request. Their kindness and genuine concern for guests made a lasting impression. Another highlight was David’s, which is connected to the hotel. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is amazing. It feels like stepping into a classic American movie and adds something special to the overall experience. What makes this hotel truly unique is its warmth and character. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome, cared for, and completely at home. The combination of the fantastic location, exceptional staff, spotless rooms, and welcoming atmosphere made this one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I have ever had. I highly recommend Touchstone Hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco.

Very clean. Beds made every day and towels changed daily too. Rooms completely cleaned. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Juliet at the front desk who saved our day when we were trying to access baseball tickets from a UK phone. Got the tickets and saw the game. Thank you Juliet. But that wasn't the only occasion she helped us. Also very knowledgeable of the local with tips and advice. Great breakfasts in the attached diner. Great friendly staff, in an authentic American diner. An all round great place to stay a in convenient location. 10 minute walk to Powell Bart Station, so you can catch the Bart direct from SFO for less than $10. Highly recommended.
