Nice room and attitude from the team

I had a very nice two day stay here. It’s not a luxury hotel but was great basic. Even the lobby was nice, big and friendly, and with a great little Mexican bar. The coffee shop a bit too expensive and no where to sit. Room was fine, good bathroom, good shower, good bed, good location. Great value. The only thing is the room had a super thin connecting door to the next room and I could hear so clearly my neighbour making a 6AM phone call!!

This isn’t a bad budget hotel. I got a good deal. But it’s a budget hotel. The walls are super thin so you and your neighbors will have to whisper.

The staff I interacted with were nice, which I appreciated, but there was no manager available to address my concerns. I tried to cancel my reservation because of the condition of the hotel, but I was told I could not. I was also told a manager would contact me, but I never received a call back. The photos on the hotel’s website make the property look significantly nicer than it was in person and did not feel representative of what I experienced. Overall, I was very unhappy with the condition of the hotel and the way my concerns were handled. I would not stay at the Tilden Hotel again and would not recommend it based on my experience.

We loved the hotel! Lot's of space in the room, comfortable bed, they provide coffee in the room and there's a water dispenser in the lobby. Just a couple blocks away from Union Square. We were worried about the area but it felt safe walking around at night!

The walls were so thin that I could hear my neighbor’s entire phone conversation throughout the night, making it difficult to rest. There was one very small elevator, seemingly large enough for only two people, with lengthy waits. The alternative was a staircase that felt dangerously steep. Staffing seemed limited, with only one person at the front desk at a time. When I needed a manager, I was told she would not be available until 11 a.m. the next day. Most concerning, I cut my foot on glass left on the bathroom floor in the early morning. I reported it and requested a 50% reduction in my room charge. The manager declined, citing the good rate I had already received. My room rate had nothing to do with my expectation of a clean, safe room. The hotel offered a $50 restaurant credit, then a 10% room discount after I declined the credit. Neither adequately addressed the injury or safety concern. Based on the property’s condition and management’s response, I would not recommend this hotel.

Requested an early check-in and they could not provide which is understandable that’s not anyone’s fault. Whoever they did tell us that we would be able to get in slightly early at 2:30. We stored our bags with them and came back to the hotel early so that way we can check in at 2:30 and room was not available. I still wasn’t too upset until it was 3 o’clock and everyone was trying to check in and they were telling everyone that there would not be a room available for at least another hour. The lime was long and staff was slow to move along. When we finally did get a room after they kept saying they had none clean, the room itself was still dirty. We were never given the right amount of towels for our group even upon request (both coming down to the front desk and going physically to the front desk) the place was dirty. Elevator was broken. We had to walk up to the sixth floor.. would not stay again

The hotel rooms were really nice. The things that weren’t the best was the staff and how unfriendly and unhelpful they were. One of the rooms had so many malfunctions such as the lights flickering at night and the lid of the toilet falling completely off and the girl at the front desk said “sorry you can email us about it”. It was ridiculous. The other not great thing was the elevator was really small and it took forever to go up to the room or down to the lobby. I liked the hotel itself but because of the factors named above I won’t be staying here again.

Location is awesome

Check in took 45 minutes. There was a massive line of people and only one person checking guests in. The shower had very little hot water. My ceiling fan and light kept turning on and off on its own. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Great spot if you’re on a budget, but don’t have high expectations.

The room are paper thin we could hear our neighbors whispering. Our neighbors were partying until 5am and we could not get any sleep. Horrible stay for us. We did let front desk know and they did help a bit but they still partied. We will not be returning

Hotel is clean and bed is comfy. They should clearly disclose how the parking works. It's $65 to park in the garage because they have a security personnel keeping watch of your car 24/7. Otherwise a public parking garage is less expensive.

Only location It was very dirty, house keeping never came, we didn’t have clean towels and water and coffee. We asked the reseptionist to take care off it, but didn’t anything !! The bed sheets were not clean.

Clean room, fríen

Staff didn’t even acknowledge when I first entered. Instead they stayed having a conversation with a man who already had his room key while the other lady day and didn’t do anything. Both woman saw me and it was to the point I had to even ask if I was in the right place before they even helped. They acted like I didn’t belong there stayed in way better hotels for them to be acting so rude is unacceptable.
