Great location and very comfortable beds.

Someone died (murdered?) in the lobby while we were out for breakfast, there was blood everywhere. Walls were paper thin and we could hear our neighbors all night. The elevator does not require keycard access to use, therefore anyone could access the rooms at any time for any reason. The toilet seat was not attached to the toilet and my partner almost fell in while using it. The waitstaff were reasonably kind, I understand that it was an eventful morning. Gym was dingy. There was a rubber glove covering the smoke detector. The Tenderloin and seemingly San Francisco generally is a pretty scary place, I would be more selective in where you choose to stay when visiting.

Pictures do not match this hotel. Feels more like a SRO than a hotel. Dirty elevators, unkept lobby, rude staff, dirty hallways, reeks of smoke, strange people walking around,

Muy buena locación

Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel itself was not what I expected based on the photos and description online. The room did not feel as clean or well-maintained as it should have been, and the heat in our room did not work. Maintenance came to check it and ultimately had to provide us with a space heater. This meant we couldn't comfortably leave the room and return to a warm space without waiting for the portable heater to warm it back up. The surrounding area was also a major concern for us. I was not prepared for the conditions immediately around the hotel, and I did not feel comfortable with the location, particularly as a visitor unfamiliar with the area. We ultimately decided to check out early rather than stay for the remainder of our reservation. Thankfully, management worked with us regarding the unused nights, which I appreciated. Overall, I can't recommend the hotel itself based on our experience with the cleanliness, heating issue, and location. However, I absolutely want to give credit to the staff because they were the bright spot of an otherwise disappointing stay.

My room was super clean and a great stay, they just need to keep the tweaked out. Making sure that they don’t even walk into the lobby

Great stay! The restaurant food was fantastic. Our room was clean and comfy. Great location with plenty to do within walking distance.

Clean room

The bathroom was disguising. The sink would not drain had so much hair in it. When the sink drained slowly it would leak on the floor. The toilet would not flush all the way either. Ride the elevator at your own risk went down and the door would not open all the way the person at the desk had to let us out. Very noisy location.

The room exceeded my expectations. All my accommodations were met.

I honestly couldn't get out fast enough! First, the rooms are nothing like the pictures. The hotel is VERY old, which can be expected in SF, but is not what was presented. It is very cramped and outdated. The bathroom was literally a 4x3 closet, exposed pipes, teeny tiny sink. The elevator is the smallest I've ever seen in my life! There is minimal surface space. The front desk guy ways extremely judgmental and opinionated and made some off color comments about my son, among other things. There was an old radiator for heat, but it did not work, so the room was chilly and damp, the only climate control was a ceiling fan. And the neighborhood is definitely not for the feint of heart, or children! Parking was also difficult.

Nothing! I had a great experience
-
The room is tight, you cannot easily enter or exit the bathroom, thats how tight the space is. The bathroom sink looks customized for that short place and when you sit ok the commode, sink is literally on your face. Although the staff cleaned the room the second day, not everything was replaced. The area itself was filled with homeless and addicts, the room had loud noise, since the neighboorhood had loud music on

Despite the poor reviews I read recently about the hotel, my experience was very good; it was relatively clean and very cozy, and the staff were very attentive. It is true that soundproofing is an issue, but overall I’d give it a 3 -4, fair for the price

Location, hospitality crew, cleanliness N/A

Excellent service, great location, great price It might look unappealing from the outside because of the location and ocasional people outside but that is a prime San Francisco experience if you mind your business and keep your distance you have nothing to worry about

Arriving at the hotel is like going to a war zone or an apocalypse scene. Very sketchy neighborhood. The hotel is very old, and it definitely doesn't look like the pictures. Very thin walls; I can hear the next-door neighbor going to the bathroom. Parking in the area is $50 overnight. The Mexican restaurant in the lobby is very good, and the French Cafe is also very good.

Decent hotel but had plumbing issues.
