Motel 6 San Jose, CA - Convention Center

Very disappointed with the lack of communication at Motel 6. We needed a later checkout because of our flight and were willing to pay, but every staff member gave us different checkout times and prices. We were under the impression we had paid to stay later, only for a staff member to suddenly come to our room and tell us we had 15 minutes to leave. The poor communication made the experience unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.

This was a great location for our trip. The motel was clean with minimal extras, which was fine. They have a 50.00 cash only deposit which wasn’t mentioned before arriving. We needed an extra pillow and were told they only give you what’s in the room. The pillows need to replaced they were either flat or lumpy. Hoousekeepin came once in 5 days. Overall it was a good stay.

for some reason the room had soap but no shampoo or conditioner? Generally nice to us but probably only because they knew we were customers. If they were unsure that someone waiting near the lobby was a customer they were surprisingly hostile, even yelling at someone waiting for the lobby to open that just wanted a little free coffee from the convenience room.

They charged me after booking charged me. When I got there the person working there was confused and rude. Hey Didn't have the correct booking she kept correcting me on what it was. I tried to show her the reservation, she refused to look at it Then she asked for payment, I said it was paid booking charged it. She said nope there are a lot of scams we need payment. I did pay again, checked my credit card and both booking and the motel charged . When I checked out I brought this up with the employee that was very rude. He said no were weren't charged twice you paid on booking we didnt charge you. I said yes you did, they charged me again. The other person that checked me in required I run my credit card and sign. He said that didnt happen. I have the charges on my credit card. It wasnt a deposit they charged. They are exactly the same. He like the other employee refused to listen got angry. The room is fine. The staff is horrible. Very abrasive and treats people bad. They knock on doors 10 minutes before check out demanding people to leave.

How close it was to the sap center Neighbors had their tv full volume all night

The floor had crud that I could scrape up with a fingernail, bathroom fixtures falling apart, the worst pillows

Anyhow...BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW. Cheap, clean, convenient, but disclaimer: NO SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER. One sad soap bar that somehow doesn't dissolve in water 👀

It’s close to the venue event and is cheaper plus no pay parking Is my second time the first it was a good experience, room very clean and very spacious and that’s the reason because we come back but this time it was worse ,I reserve a doble room with one bed and I get instead a small studio no space smelling weed ;the solution for them,they put Lysol and say not smell ,one of the main reason for this smelling problem is because it was the last room on the property and everybody going to that corner to smoke cigarettes and weed :the room it was dirty ,find couple roaches and when we report with the staff the solution i get it for them “I can change the room but the other is worse than this is on you” I don’t think they don’t care to much about the guest … never come back

The woman working the front desk was absolutely wonderful. I arrived after a long road trip and really needed to use the restroom. She checked me in (literally) as fast as she could and got me into my room in under 5 minutes. All of my interactions with her were delightful. As a single woman traveling alone with my two dogs, this Motel 6 was clean and felt very safe. I just learned that pets stay free at Motel 6, so I will definitely be staying at this chain again in the future!
