The Alameda Motel San Jose

They are a family oriented they where very understanding , great service, im a truck driver so at times I can't find a reasonable place but here they always provide a safe environment your car or rigg is parked right in front of room. And the rooms are veey clean. At times I dont go throw app and they charge 110, a night.

Good for solo travelers

I appreciated that I could park next to my room. The room is clean, well appointed, spacious, and relatively functional. The lighting in the rooms is not great. There are inset halogen lights in the ceiling - very harsh and bright - controlled by a switch at the door. It needs a bedside lamp or two - an option to have both more pleasant softer lighting, and controlled at the bedside. To turn on and off the light you have to be at the door - which means stumbling in the dark to turn off the lights before going to bed. The rooms overall would benefit with a stronger aesthetic. Though functional, they are needlessly unattractive and lacking in any charm. They’d bring in a better class of customer and higher rates if they had more sophisticated looking rooms. It’s a bit noisy at night, but better than the hotel nearby which is quite noisy from the intersection.

Staff were very kind and obliging, and upgraded my room.

Every service was good

Pretty minimal but clean. My biggest complaint was the door handle needed to be fixed, making it a challenge to get in and out and making me feel a little unsafe.

For the price was a great stay. Great location and easy checkin. Stayed for 5 days for the crossfit games and walked everyday to the sap centre. Was exactly what i was looking for easy commute and a place to sleep. If the games there next year will stay again

Very nice stay for a very reasonable price!

For an older motel it is impressively clean and well maintained. The staff seems friendly and helpful although I had very little interaction with them. I really like area because of its walkable small downtown feel. My only recommendation is for in room coffee. Having stayed there before, I brought my own coffee maker, but I think this is a simple accommodation that would go a long way.

outside is nice and clean , rooms are okay but could be cleaner. dirty towels , weird smell in the rooms and my second time booking at this place they wanted me to pay two times just because i didn’t pop up on their “system” and i showed ever proof of me booking , now third stay here they said i couldn’t book online which is very dumb giving the fact that it’s on booking.com and the next day the old dude there showed up at my door at 10:56 not even 11 and he hung around my door until we left , felt very rushed , that was the last time i booked there ?

Need breakfast and coffee

The staff is courteous. This is an inexpensive place to stay that is quiet, bed is comfortable, and close to what you need in the South Bay. The cleaning staff is also courteous! I recommend this place if you are not looking for frills, but a clean, inexpensive stay. It's also close to some cafes in walking distance, and a Whole Foods just down the road, about a 1/2 mile, to pick up some eats.
