Sonesta ES Suites San Jose Airport

THIS PLACE IS LIKE A SMALL VERSION OF A PANT HOUSE , VERY CLEEN AND EASY TO LIVE . HAS A BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN IF YOU WANT TO COOK , ALSO NICE SWIMING POOL HEATED WHICH IS NICE AND CLEAN AND THE STAFF ABSOULYTLY NICE AND FRIENDLY.

No elevators. Pool was working this time which was warm. Rooms are spacious but one of the rooms are hotter than the other. Weeds have overtaken the grass. Plenty of people that live in there cars park in that area, although I didn't feel unsafe.

The double room with multiple beds are perfect for my family. There were big stains on the carpet, I told the front desk, they said they would send house keeping but never came. The pool is not open still

I really enjoyed the layout of the room. Having a seperate kitchen and living space really made us feel at home. There was also a space closet and the sink was separate from the shower/ toilet.

We had a sofa pull out couch which again MULTIPLE stains on the “CLEAN” LINENS & MATTRESS. Ice maker in the kitchen did NOT work nor was there an accessible ice machine for guests. Overall very disappointed with this stay for what was supposed to be a fun weekend of sports and family.

Room was dirty, AC not working and ants everywhere

Homeless in the parking lot and the place was run down. Felt very unsafe. Would not give me a refund to move to another property.

cons: pool doesn’t work breakfast is only 2 hours and very subpar. also they don’t refill the food. no housekeeping, you have to exchange towels yourself at front desk ROACHES ants lots of young people hanging out in the parking EVERY NIGHT AROUND 1-4am. pros: cheap rate ac works

The suite was spacious and worked well for our family. The full kitchen had everything we needed, including cookware, dishes, and utensils. It gave our boys room to relax and play when we were back at the hotel. Unfortunately, two of the biggest reasons we booked were unavailable. We were told at check-in that this location doesn’t have an airport shuttle—only their sister property does. I’m not sure if that was an Expedia listing issue or the hotel’s, but it meant paying for unexpected Uber rides. The pool was also closed for renovations, which was disappointing during the summer. One thing to know: if you need fresh towels or sheets, you have to bag up the used ones and exchange them at the front desk. The staff was very kind, but I wish this had been explained at check-in instead of when we needed replacements. Overall, it was a decent stay with friendly staff and plenty of space for our family. Would I stay again? I’m not sure, mainly because two of the amenities we booked for weren’t available.

Don’t plan on getting the room any cooler than 69° (as directed at check-in or the unit will freeze up). Lastly, I’d hoped to check-out & grab a cup of coffee in the lobby (non-existent at 5:30 am) then share my experience with the clerk upon leaving the property, but alas, only a propped-up sign on the front desk offered any semblance of a sounding board. For longer stays, you can definitely make this property work… after all, a street sweeper going by before 0500 am is something anyone can get used to with enough time and conditioning, right?! It’s worth the few extra bills to head a bit further south to all that downtown San Jose has to offer.

Toilet in one of the master baths was really noisy, may need a new gasket. But otherwise no complaints, would definitely stay again.
