Clean rooms

Okay overall
-
The room was hot and the AC was working but it was still hot. Couldn’t sleep
-
Hot tub not working. Clean room.
-
Room was clean but carpet need a steam clean and curtains and lamp shades were shabby. Hot tub needed a redo- and a cleaning, we did not go in.
-
Was clean, no problems. Is a good hotel for one or two nights

Clean room. Decent bed. Good pillows. Great black out curtains. Good AC. Clean pool area and a very hot hot tub. Good value.

Good location is all I can say about the property. Hot tub was not hot. Bed wasn't comfy. Shower wasn't tiled properly. Just some plastic on the floor, and when you stepped on it in the shower, all this mold would come squirting out.

It was clean and reasonably priced and just what we needed. It would be nice if the gentleman at the front desk smiled, or had any kind of positive attitude or welcoming at all. He was glum and uninterested. But the accommodations were satisfactory.

Pros: -Situated on Inn/Hotel row by Cal Poly SLO -Close to Cal Poly Slo -For an inn, the rooms are pretty large, even with 2 queen beds. -Mini Fridge worked which is better than some other places we stayed -Crown Moulding is a nice feature - Pool looks clean and well kept Cons -Room is dated, even with the crown moulding. It looked modern in the pictures but it feels dates -When you walk into the room, there is no main light so you have to turn on one of the lamps. It's not a problem during the daytime but at night would be nice to turn on the switch and a light comes on in the room - The pool looks larger than the pictures on Expedia - Bathroom, they kept the window slightly open as the fan didn't work. they had a security bar but we closed it - Bathtub, there must be a leak into the bathtub as you can feel water underneath your feet as you are standing taking a shower. It's like you are riding small waves. That must not be good for the bathroom - the worst part is that the walls and the floors are not soundproof. We had a downstair unit and both nights and at 6:30am in the morning, we can hear the family above us moving around, walking around, talking, dropping things, moving their luggage. it was so loud and we were saying the first morning at 6:30am, please leave to do what you have to do so it will be quiet. Well imagine hearing all this noise each morning at 6:30am.

We loved our stay. The room was clean and the building itself was in good shape. The staff was very helpful and polite. The only thing we disliked was the parking lot. We tracked in black dust from the broken blacktop. But, we will stay there again for sure. It was also located near some great restaurants.

Online I saw that this property got three stars, and was a good price. Be aware it is not a three-star destination! It is definitely a two-star. There were cracks in the bathroom wall and the sink didn't drain. The furniture by the pool is broken and sitting on the ground. It got us through but I wouldn't choose it again.

I was looking forward to swimming and the pool wasn't very clean. I didn't go in the pool. Place was a bit run down

Good for price in SLO

Hot tub was not heated, just bubbles. Pool was clean and decently deep. Rooms clean, well reset for multiple day stay. Quiet.

I stayed here recently and was highly disappointed by the poor maintenance of my room. The bathroom had visible mold, and the sink took an exceptionally long time to drain. The main room was also in disrepair. The closet door was off the rail and hanging against the wall, while the drawers and cabinet doors were broken and would not stay closed. On top of the room's physical condition, I had to return to the front desk twice during my short stay just to get my keycard fixed because it kept malfunctioning. We had friends staying at the same hotel who also had continual keycard issues so this was not an isolated event. The property needs serious maintenance upgrades and better quality control before checking in future guests. I would not recommend staying here in its current state. Disappointed in Hotels.com recommending sites like this.

The bathroom faucet was not attached to the counter so we had to hold it in place with one hand then turn it on with the other hand. The walls and doors were so chipped and painted over it was horrible. You could see dirt on all the walls and doors like they had never been wiped clean. The sheets on one of the beds had brown streaks. The closet doors were not attached on the rollers making hard to open and close. The temp outside was in the 90s the day we arrived and yet the A/C was not on when we went into the room. It was so warm and stuffy.

Pool was very clean and open to guest until 9pm reasonable time.!
-
The property itself was fine. No complaints. But the staff was terrible. I arrived at around midnight and no one was there. I ringed the bell and clearly woke someone up, who was very noticeably annoyed that I didn’t tell them what time I would be arriving. He said he sent messages asking for my arrival time but there are none in my inbox or in the Hotels App. Just not a very pleasant experience.

The pool seemed clean, but anywhere there was tile on the floor of the pools it was broken. Didn’t use the hot tub, the structure around it looks like it’s barely holding on. No towels at the pool, I asked one of the housekeepers for towels, she gave us 3 for our family of four, one of the towels was torn in the middle (perhaps it was meant to match the drapes). The walls are thin, so you’ll never feel alone. In the middle of the night on a trip to the bathroom I was greeted by a roach. I’ve lived in Florida, so he didn’t scare me, but I wasn’t surprised to see him. For the money, this was a lousy stay. But it was shelter and a swim. Parking was free and close. But if you are debating between this place or someplace a wee bit more costly, go ahead and pay more to stay elsewhere. The reviews on here were mixed but the overall score was “good” so perhaps good might not be enough.
