Always wanted to stay and was not disappointed.

Housekeeping also annoying and noisy early morning talking aloud supposed check out by 12 there noosing around 7am

The bathroom in the room we were staying in had a bad smell. It was unpleasant and made the room uncomfortable. The bathroom had a strong unpleasant odor, which made our room uncomfortable. The bathroom also did not feel as clean and fresh as we expected

The property was eclectic, gorgeous, and lots of fun. Food and drinks were amazing and very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The unique kitschy architecture with a 1950’s feel. The convenient location. The abundant parking. Spacious room with amenities in the room including mini fridge, and coffeemaker. Efficient and cordial staff at reception and in the restaurants. The fixtures were cheap. One of the sink faucet handles in the bathroom came off. There were a few ants in the sink. There were no table lamps or safe. The food in the restaurants was mediocre and expensive.

The Madonna Inn is a national treasure. This was my second ever visit to the property, and after my initial one-night visit in 2024, I decided to stay this time for 4 nights. I selected 4 different rooms for my 4 nights, and on my arrival the staff was extremely helpful in getting me checked in ahead of time so that every day all I needed to do was come and get my new room keys. My bag was transferred to the new room by housekeeping each day, taking that issue off my plate entirely. The on-site amenities are amazing. Sit out by the pool and tell me you disagree that there is a better place to enjoy the sun anywhere in San Luis Obispo. You must also try the Turkey Burger sliders in the lounge. I could have had them every meal. It goes without saying the rooms are simply amazing if you appreciate kitsch and understand you are part of history when you stay there. You cannot beat sleeping or showering in a cave. Even the "basic" rooms are full of charm and character. If I could make one suggestion to incentivize eating on property, it would be a small discount on dining for guests. They are obviously not hurting for business so it is an unlikely request, but one that would certainly be appreciated by future guests. In any case, I will continue to return there in the future whenever I travel to the Central Coast.

The pool was beautiful and well maintained. The view was spectacular. I was so happy that I brought my bathing suit. They also had a shop where you could buy one and they provided two towels.

Otherwise I love restaurant, grounds rooms everything about the property. Will be back!

A totally unique place.

The grounds were beautiful. Our room was very green. Overwhelming so. Our pillows were the worst i have ever experienced at a hotel. Lumpy and hard. We did not sleep well at all.

It was comfortable, clean, and super fun!

As usual entire staff was friendly amd helpful. Spa staff was amazing. However our room had ants everywhere. Maintainers and house cleaning sprayed and cleaned up but the next day toilet was covered as was the nughtstand

Pool was great, breakfast service great.

What a great spot! All the rooms so unique and over the top! Quirky would be an understatement- staff was very helpful and courteous and attentive. The heated pool was a big plus!
