Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Marcos

Absolutely horrible! The room had broken bed board that were peeling and there were no room amenities like shampoo or soap. Just to name a few. I will never stay here again but thought for one night to take my kid to college would be ok, it was NOT! Never again.

I didn't expect it to be a motel so I'm trying to be generous with my review. The existing furniture in the room was old and stained, there was tissue paper shoved into the peep hole. Staff was polite. Room walls are thin you can hear normal level conversation of adjoining rooms. Very loud freeway noise and for some reason a man was standing on his car in front of my room peeing on the parking lot. I didn't know Howard Johnson was a motel chain I thought it was just a regular hotel like holiday inn. So I accept the fault with my booking here. Again though, the staff are very kind

I was so excited to find a good deal by next to the school. But it was too good to be true. The bed sheet was had a yellow spot on it. I felted save there. But the try to make it look good. But just know you get what I pay for.

The room was clean. The breakfast was toast and oatmeal. The towels were limited.

Working Ac even though it sounded like it was going to break or explode. It did work which in the Texas heat I’m grateful for. Not sure where this breakfast was located didn’t know where it was staff up front weren’t friendly at all. There were huge cockroaches and the bed sheets had dirt stains. I paid for 4 nights and only stayed the 3.

It was quite but never once did anyone come clean our room or bring us towels! No cleaning service!

Don't stay here. No one would answer the phone. We had a non smoking but you could tell someone smoked in there. Had to go buy air fresher. Sheets had stains and cigarette burns on them. The microwave didn't work. Definitely wasn't clean. We picked it instead of a air bnb for the breakfast. Tried it once. Definitely won't be back.

The property is right on the freeway and is very loud. Also, it seems to be in a less desirable part of town.

The Hotel was close to the stadium for the UTSA and Texas State game less than a mile away. The room was clean and no issues of smells. The only issue was the free breakfast. Not even a waffle maker only cereal that was stale and milk. I seen two blueberry muffins. Quick clean spot to sleep for a night or two .

Cheap Non smoking room with burn holes in the blanket and only provide one little packet of shampoo and one towel that was so rough and barely soaked up water
