Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Marcos

The room was okay it wasn’t clean or dirty, there was a dead bug in the corner. The sheets where stained and two of the pillows the bed had smelled. The parking are kind of small and the air conditioning was good and also the staff. So it was okay overall.

King suite was spacious and comfortable. Ac stuck on low setting

Front desk was friendly. Breakfast is severely lacking. One kind of bread and one kind bagel. Coffee and whole milk.

Everything about this stay was absolutely terrible the staff and management absolutely completely rude as can be they argued with me about my pet who is a service dog and accused of being a liar even after presented with the documents and literally came to my room a second time saying they needed to see her certificate and while I was pulling it back out they continued to accuse me of lying telling me when is my checkout that I need to not reserve any more nights there called me disrespectful said they don’t want me there and that I better keep it clean which I was very dissatisfied with the room upon arrival there were several dead insects on the floor and in the shower the bed was filthy and the ac was off taking forever to get the room to comfortable temperature and when my wife and daughter were going to the pool the man in the office said it opened at 8 am and so they go only to be told by the manager they couldn’t be in there because the sun would hurt their skin to come back at 10:30 am when check out is at 11 and kept telling them every ten min what time it was and how much longer until check out again it was absolutely ridiculous and the worst stay I ever have had at a hotel I will never stay there or at a Howard Johnson again because of it and I don’t recommend any one else should stay there either unless they like being completely disrespected and treated like trash

The hotel was a very convenient to get to the school, The door needed repairs.

AC was turned off when we arrived in the evening and took at least 2 hours for the room to cool down to be comfortable

The shower was not working properly. The bed was extremely dirty and there were tons of flys in the room that I had to kill.

Room clean, bed comfy, great price. Breakfast basic. No eggs and bacon. But if kids like cereal, toast, oatmeal. Your good.

That i was able to get late minute book in due to another hotel canceling me out.

Air conditioning was cut off when we went into the room so it took awhile for the room to cool off. Linens and towels were very low quality and thin. Loved the 70’s decor.

We got checked in then went to the room. Any room I stay in I check for bugs. This bed was not clean. I asked for a refund he wanted to die another room and there was, what looked like poop on the floor. We said no and wanted the refund then he said he couldn’t had to wait for management. Last minute had to find another hotel. I would not recommend staying there, ever!

The location My bed was a moveable bed. Every time I turned, the bed would move and squeak. I was not able to sleep at all. The only reason I didn't leave was because my daughter was already asleep in the other bed which was not moveable.

Although the motel itself is older, the rooms were remodeled and very up-to-date! Beautiful bathroom fixtures, and the room was very nicely decorated. The owners had gone above and beyond to make it a very nice place. The online pictures were exactly what the room looked like. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. No negative review. Everything was great! It really was!

Hotel was what we expected for $51 for the night. The shampoo and conditioner packets were so small.
