La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Marcos

It’s a very clean place

The staff was extremely kind, but the room was another story. We had to call the front desk from our cell phone as the room phone was not even plugged in, and we could not find the wire. The TV remote did not work, and the TV's top half was just wavy lines. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. A good deep clean would do wonders for this place.

The staff was nice. It sure does needs a lot of remodeling, and urgent attention, there was mold in bathroom walls and tub, bathroom door was falling apart, sheets on the bed that I used were old and worn out badly, lamp on wall had holes and curtains had holes on them as well. I won’t stay at any of La Quinta ever again. It looked and felt like a motel.

Room had mold, air conditioning worked poorly, pool was disgusting! Property dirty!

We reserved a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke or other smoking substance. The AC didn’t cool the room enough

Definitely not worth the price.

I just want to say this was a good stay, but I was so disappointed in that breakfast buffet. The only hot item they had was make your own pancakes. But the place was alright. Beds were not the best either.. but I'd give them a 4 out of 5 stars, overall not bad.

Home feel

The lady at the front desk was very positive, with good energy. The room itself wasn’t bad. But the bathroom had a plunger in the corner. The carpet had a sticky feel to it. I wore sandals to avoid my feet touching the carpet.

Place was fine. Problem was a dog whining and barking all night for the two nights we stayed. When we checked out, I informed staff at the desk. Only response was “I’m sorry,” with no offer to make any amends whatsoever.

The location The bed sheets wasn’t nice and clean, we had to go to Walmart to get some bed sheets.

Dirty carpet, ac not 100%, smelled bad

The staff was great, but our room was not clean. The pics on the website look GREAT! There was questionable substance on the night stand. Stains on the bed sheets and a few spots on the sheets that made us wonder if the sheets were clean. There was also a toothpick under the fitted sheet. The staff let us check out of the motel so we could go elsewhere.

No elevator. Stain in the middle of the bedspread. Not in the best area. Booked the wrong la Quinta. There is a nicer one in San Mrcos about 5 exits down closer to the outlet shops

The room was clean, the overall property was nice. Parking was ample. However, I did not like that we were staying in a building separate from the main building. It made access to available amenities slightly more difficult as we would’ve had to walk around the building for the pool, or at the very least across the parking lot for breakfast. We opted to drive around to eat breakfast and probably would’ve done the same if we’d used the pool. If you find yourself staying in a 300 or 400 room, you may want to request a 100 or 200 if you have any mobility issues. Also, in the 300/400 building there is no elevator, only stairs so that building wouldn’t be ideal. We don’t have any real complaints, just want others to be aware when booking. Stay was nice, room was clean and mostly quiet despite being right off a highway, staff was great, breakfast was plentiful.
