Blue Sands Inn, A Kirkwood Collection Hotel

Great location, easy parking, delightful staff & clean comfortable rooms. Somehow mosquitos got in our room and had a great feast. Other than the sky vampires, an absolutely great hotel.

Close to the beach. Didn't provide parking. Bed too soft, too small. Stains on sheets. It's a motel not an inn and charging $500 for the night was a rip off. On line photos are misleading.

The proximity to the beach and the updated bathroom were the big pluses of this inn. The only thing that I did not like was the lack of an elevator. Otherwise, this was the perfect choice for a beach getaway.

The property was maintained appropriately. We had an issue with maid service because the card indicating service fell off the door. We were able to get additional towels from the front desk. Unfortunately, there were very active dwellers in the room above us that made it difficult to sleep with constant pounding coming from the ceiling, but that is not the hotel's fault. We parked in the front disabled parking. There is a blue striped island next to the disabled space that is supposed to be free of vehicles, but vehicles were allowed to park there. That is not correct.

Clean, quiet, and super close to the beach.

The room was clean and staff friendly, but this was a motel for which we paid way more that it was really worth. The towels were very poor quality.

Gorgeous sea view, pool was awesome, perfect temperature. Close to everything, but quiet at night. Can walk to the beach, a supermarket and easy walk to Centre. Really relaxing. Staff really friendly, coffee and tea on site.

Very nice hotel with great showers! Walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. We enjoyed the A/C after a long day at the beach. Unfortunately we got some tar on our feet at the beach in Santa Barbara. We really appreciated the tar removers for our feet that were in the bathroom without us having to ask for them. Our shower was out of body wash and the front desk clerk immediately came up to our room with additional body wash.

The location was perfect. It was very clean. The bed was hard to get comfortable in.

Visited here with my family for July 4th vacation and to say that we were disappointed is to say nothing. First the room was not the same as it was shown in photos. Second bathroom was smelling awfully, I couldn’t even enter there and every time that I had to, I was keeping closed my nose so I can enter there. The doors were dirty, the beds smelled awfully, we were sleeping with clothes. I was with my little baby and we drove to Santa Barbara for 6 hours to see this picture. We just run from that motel (it’s written hotel but it’s the worse motel) earlier than we supposed to do. The front desk was not working properly. When we decided to check out early the front desk was not even working and we couldn’t say all this to them, we just dropped the keys in the drop box. Anyway it was the worst vacation that we could imagine.

Great location in proximity to beach. Very cute and quaint, quiet, nice heated pool and friendly staff, even a dog in the lobby, easy parking.

The property is at a great location with ocean views, a very short walk to the beach and a short drive to food destinations.

Clean, comfortable, great location! Nestled between much more expensive hotels provides a great location without the luxury amenities or price! Perfect!! Within walking distance or a short bus or uber ride from major attractions/activities and literally across the street from the beach!

The bathroom was stinking, like sewer smell coming from the sink or somewhere in the pot not sure, even though the bathroom was clean. I couldn't be in the bathroom for more than 2 mins
