The location is the only good thing about this hotel. #1. There is no air conditioning and booking.com did not have this in the listing. The temperature outside was 91 degrees. There is no ventilation in the room and we were provided with 2 fans. It was so miserably hot at night we had to keep our door open for air. At night we tried to sleep but couldn’t knowing our door was open. #2 I had a freezing cold shower in the morning. No hot water. #3. I went to dry my hair and no blow dryer in the room. No microwave or iron in the room either. #4- very old and outdated with mildew on the shower door and an obvious leaky roof issue. #5- Advertised as an INN, however; there are no apparent INN amenities provided. The name should be changed to motel. #5 - When I expressed my dissatisfaction the clerk did not even apologize but merely said, you need to contact booking.com, there are no refunds. No apology or offer to help make our stay better. We paid for 2 nights but checkout out after night 1. Hoping Booking.com will make this right and refund my 2nd night since we did not stay. By far the worst stay ever.

The best part is the location and the pool. Room size was good but the hotel is dated. Parking is a huge bonus. There was a new shower, fridge and fans provided. However there was no hairdryer, iron or kettle in the room. No kettle, being English I needed tea! We were also asked to pay more because of the age of our children....? Its a 1970's throwback hotel, people might like that style. For the price we paid we expected something fresher. The draws stank, couldn't put clothes in them.

The location We woke up to an ant invasion in our room. We made the front desk aware of the situation and were told management would be contacting us. That was 4 days ago and we have not been contacted.

It was close to the beach The mattress needs replacing. Too soft and they need to invest in small coffee makers. Also, the room we had, had a shelf over the refrigerator so I hit my head extremely hard getting up from opening the fridge. Change to fridge door to open the other way which might help.

Location is good. No air conditioning and the room smelled old. Decor is old and outdated. I did not like the huge noisy fan which would have kept me awake if I had not turned it off so was very hot all night.

Location The room had a horrible odor. The hotel is in serious need of a make over. Carpet was disgusting, the bedfing was from the 60's. Paint was chipping.

The Cabrillo Inn was a good value for the area. It was a nice location that allowed for us to walk to nearby restaurants and the pier. Easy to get there from the freeway too. The room we had was in the corner and didn't have very much ventilation. So the room was a little hot, but they did provide a fan.
