This hotel is a gem. Location is amazing (across the street from the beach). The property is clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Great price for a simple and safe stay.

We stayed here for a wedding weekend at the nearby Hilton, and the location was perfect for that purpose. Walkable proximity to the hotel made everything easy, and the beach access is a genuine bonus. Free parking was a nice as well. That said, there are a few things worth knowing. The walk to downtown Santa Barbara runs closer to 45 minutes, so you’re pretty isolated if you’re looking for city energy. The showers are dated and could use an upgrade, and rooms aren’t cleaned daily unless you request housekeeping. There’s also a noticeable smell in the room that hits when you first arrive. For a budget stay tied to a specific venue, it works fine. Just go in with clear expectations.

Never stayed at a Motel 6 before but this one was recommended by a local friend. Super clean, cute rooms and walking distance to the beach. Overpriced on 4th of July weekend though

Great location, nice hotel and staff. Not much in the way of amenities but this was expected. Rooms were clean, and cleaned daily. Staff were all pleasant and check-in smooth. Would recommend.

Rude staff at check in, became verbally abusive while we tried to check in and proceeded to shout get out of my lobby once payment had been made. Never experienced anything like it before

The Location is incredible which is why we chose this hotel. However on our last day as we were packing up we found an adult bedbug walking on the sheets! We brought it to the attention of the GM who sent us back some screenshotted AI prompt saying it was not a bed bug. Google lense said bedbug, reddit said bedbug, a literal exterminator said bedbug. We had to take all our belongings to be treated, and now management will not reply. I was holding off on writing a review to see how this would be handled, but absolutely crickets. Our room was 210.

It was uniquely designed. Safe place. Convenient to dining and other shopping experiences. Beach across road.

The best part is it is 100% easily walkable to the beach and you could also walk to the Santa Barbara Zoo quite easily.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The location was great, the rooms were clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to visit Santa Barbara

Excellent location! Just a short walk across to the beach. Very close to an amazing breakfast place across the street. The room was retro and very clean. This is the original Motel 6 and they did a great job with the remodel.

I’m surprised they charged $10 per days for parking. I been use service over 4-5 years. This year surprise me with one bottle wine. Stay 2-3 days every years.

Motel was in a great location, just a block from the beach and walking distance to downtown. The staff was very friendly to both human and four-legged guests (Lots of treats :) The bottle of wine upon arrival was a nice gesture, however it was a white table wine from Portugal. Kind of a slap in the face to the local wine industry. Room was tight, but very clean and comfortable. All in all, I would recommend to friends and family who aren't looking for luxury.

It's expensive for a Motel 6 but the interior and cleanliness are also much nicer than a regular Motel 6! I love the trendy decor, the beds were comfortable. If you don't like small pillows it might not be good for you (they're square) but otherwise everything was nice.

We had such a great time on our vacation and the motel being in walking distance to almost everything one could need on vacation was a plus. Thank you for a great stay

Great location for beach activities and a fun, clean environment

Ice machine wasn’t working. Had to pay to park at the motel. He didn’t say anything about coffee in the morning, noticed it when I checked out. Had to ask twice about the wine for the room.

This is an excellent property.

The only complaint was the parking design and that there was a puddle of water outside of the shower when we checked in. Other than that-it was perfect!
