Motel 6 Santa Barbara, CA - Beach

The room was modern and comfortable. The motel is close to the oceanside though a bit of a walk into Santa Barbara town and harbourside. The motel offered free coffee which could be collected from reception in the morning. A fridge and a coffee machine would of been beneficial in the room as although they did provide free coffee from reception its a bit of a pain to get dressed to have collect a coffee

The beach is literally down the street. Great location. Very clean. What can be improved is having window sheers. That way you can leave your curtains open without having passersby look in your room.

A 3 minute walk to the beach made this location amazing. The newly updated retro room was super cute and clean.

We've stayed here many times in the past, and whenever we asked for a top room facing the beach we got it. Now you pay extra for that. They gave us a back room facing away from the beach. Within walking distance to lots of things in the East Beach area, so that's great. Including East Beach Tacos just over the AMTRAK tracks. We enjoy walking around the neighborhood there Prices have gone up on this place like everywhere else. And we couldn't get the front facing room we used to, but that's life in a golden age. The back area was a bit noisier than the front due to visitors hanging out while we were there. Calmed down later, though.

Great location near the beach. Staff were very helpful. Nice updated room. Parking was difficult. The alley to the back lot was very narrow even for our sedan (not a truck or SUV).

Front desk reported with ADA shower took up too much room. No room Shower water pressure was great.

We have been staying at this Motel 6 every time we come see our daughter who is a student at UCSB. For the location and cleanliness you cannot beat it in Santa Barbara.

You really can't beat the location of this Motel 6! We were super close to the beach and could even see a view of the water right from our room. The spot was so central that we were able to walk all the way around town without needing to drive, which was a huge plus. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. My only issues were with a couple of room amenities: there was no iron or ironing board in the room, so I went to the front desk to get one, but it ended up not working. Additionally, the room telephone was out of order, so we couldn't call the front desk and had to walk over to the office whenever we needed something.

It’s basically a standard Motel 6, but a block from the beach. Very retro. The mattresses could be replaced. The curtains let parking lot light into the room, because they are too short.

The staff was great.

The room was very clean and just fine for one person. Compared to other motel/hotels in the area, well worth the price. The room was a little small, would've been tight for two people, but doable.
