Mar Monte Hotel, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Not Clean - rooms are not worth what I payed for. Have an odd smell - more like the AC was dripping on the carpet.

Staff was great but room keys quit working three times during stay. Also long delay waiting for valet to park car on Saturday night.

Location Over priced for the property

Place is out dated needs to upgrade to Byatt standards too expensive for the comfort

LOCATION AND STAFF WERE GREAT. HOTEL OLDER AND NOT AS WELL MAINTAINED FOR THE PRICE.

Overall it was a great stay, but just a few things they need to work on. More cleanliness and upkeep.

We are at the restaurant and cafe. The hamburger and caesar salad were delicious!! The granola yogurt with fruit was okay. The yogurt was pretty tart but fruit was tasty and helped the tart taste. Hot tub was fantastic and fitness center was a tad small but it got the job done. Overall, I would stay here again. The staff- front desk and valet-were great!!

Lovely hotel, but I was a little bummed to be placed in the building behind the main hotel.

Close to beach.. The small towels were soft. Our room was facing some construction. The mechanical room was near us or right NEXT to us. We heard the loud sound that kept us awake and called the front desk to let them know. She didn't seem to care..saying she could move us.. We were already in bed! Oh the phone in room didnt work. I had to call with my cell phone. The larger towels were rough.

The staff , location for shopping and dining and of course hotel being right across from the Pacific Ocean was a huge factor

Just too old to feel clean. The floor of the elevator is SO dirty and gross, the hallways feel grungy, the rooms feel old but at least a little cleaner than the rest of the property. I thought we were booking a very nice hotel and I paid accordingly, so my expectations were a lot higher than reality. Everyone was incredibly nice, so that was a plus.

I got great service since first showing up. The valet was very friendly and helpful. When going to the front desk, they gave my wife and I a free room upgrade for free. They ask gave great service and Kathleen took care of the 3rd party issues that I got the hotel from. They have a great and comfortable place. My wife loved the bed and the view from the balcony. It was also nice that the valet rented out the bikes for free. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room carpet dirty, rooms very muggy. I will not likely return to this property. Stuff very helpful.

The Mar Monte Hotel was a lovely place to stay for a girls getaway... it was right across the street from the beach; the restaurants on site were fantastic, we loved the free bikes and beach chairs, and the pool was great. We had a noisy air conditioner the first night and got moved to a new room with a balcony which was lovely. Great stay!
