The location is great! The only complaint is that the room was very noisy. It sounded like the HVAC was rattling all night.
-
The rooms smell like pee.
-
Apart from above two issues, everything was very good!!

The hotel was okay but

We will be back. Great service.

Had a fun stay at Mar Monte…the only inconvenience was the wash basin in the room and only one mirror. Would be helpful to have another one in the washroom. Also the Aircon was very noisy. But overall an excellent location and beautiful property.

On one hand, both the staff and view were very nice. On the other hand this is a very family-friendly hotel: The areas that were packed and filled with SCREAMING kids and their nonchalant parents: the breakfast restaurant, the pool area, the lovely outdoor lobby seating area, the hallways and rooms above and across from us. Honestly, if you are wanting a “Couples Weekend” this is not your hotel. The location is across a busy street from the beach with a children’s play zone. Again, if you have children - this is your place. It is walking distance to the actual sand, a bunch of good restaurants, Stearns Wharf, and the zoo in the other direction. Although we were told it was a non-smoking property, our building and room reeked of smoke and tons of air freshener to cover it up. The rooms were just fine, we just felt like we were at an elementary school. But with smoking. (?)

Location, amenities, staff and cleanliness. That I had to leave.

a gal at the desk took a take home order and put it in the fridge and said it would be fine overnight, When I went to pick it up no one could find it. Very frustrating It was. $28 order from Tre Lun in Monticeto

which we booked through Booking. com over a year ago. Have not resolved the problem after 2days. We had disappointing accommodations when we requested an ocean View, we were given a 3rd floor room overlooking a construction site. Additionally, the elevator was not working for the 3rd floor.
-
It was a beautiful location and a very nice clean room . Staff was helpful and friendly. The ac in the room made a grinding noise that was a little loud and our iron did not work. They do hit you for some additional fees that considering the price seemed unnecessary. Parking was expensive.
-
Beautiful historic property near the beach. There is only one small pool which is lovely but not ample enough for the amount of hotel guests. It would be nice to have an adult pool.
-
Location and large room size Not good value for money

We had a pleasurable stay at Mar Monte. Staff greeted us kindly and the check-in process was quick. I drove our Tesla EV and inquired about using the charger, but because I declined the valet service, he denied my request. This needs to be better explained in the literature regarding the resort fee. Morning coffee and tea was great. Didn't have time to use the pool. We had a double room for 4 of us, but because the furniture was so large, our suitcases had to be on the floor. Smaller furniture may have helped, but we managed over the inconvenience.
-
Pool and jacuzzi closed for whatever reason 24 hrs so that was a bummer. It was quite expensive for the long weekend so I would have thought they would have comped guests with something.
-
Food at the hotel was not good - I ordered three sperate times and each time the food was tasteless and the coffee was not good. Was cold (at the lobby) and also at the pool deck. Lobby needed a good vacuuming. Also, i paid $550 for a room looking at the beach and the patio / balcony we had and furniture was not swept or cleaned to sit on. This hotel is at best a 3-star hotel. Too bad bc we paid for a better experienced.
