Hideaway Santa Barbara, A Kirkwood Collection Property

The rooms were cozy with large windows and a comfy bed. Delicious complementary breakfast and coffee/tea available at the lobby. My little family had a wonderful time - we are definitely coming back for a longer stay.

The room was spotless and made-to order breakfast was delicious.

We had a lovely stay at the Hideaway. Our room was the perfect size and simply adorable. It had a mini-fridge, a fireplace and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also nicely appointed and there was good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was outstanding and the host/receptionist/chef was super nice. It was in walking distance to State Street, the Funk Zone and Stearn's Wharf. The parking space was a little tight but that's the only negative thing I can say about this place. It's definitely a hidden gem!

Loved the unique boutique hotel experience. Felt like a luxury tree house. Enjoyed chatting with Chef and getting to see her kitchen. Breakfast and coffee was a nice touch.

The breakfast was not good, unlike that of our previous stay. Our room and its location were not good. We did like the staff. Very nice and helpful. The common areas were very pleasant and attractive. The food, the room and its location, the neighborhood was not great for walking.

From the moment I had to call to check about our late check in, we were greeted with the sweetest welcome by Gwen. The property is impeccable and quant, warm and hospitable. The breakfast was fantastic. We’ve already booked another stay:)

Hideaway was absolutely amazing. What made it even more so was the staff. We arrived earlier than anticipated and was able to remain in the lobby waiting til our room was ready. Gwen and Monique were the best at making us feel relaxed and taken care of. And the breakfast the next morning was delicious! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone. We are already future planning our next trip back because of how welcoming everyone was.

A very nice bed & breakfast near the Funk Zone. Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. Friendly staff. Great home made breakfast.

The main issue was cleanliness. Overall, the room did not feel very clean, but the biggest concern was the sheets. Clean bedding is a basic expectation, and unfortunately, the sheets had visible stains and even holes in them. We requested a new set, but the replacement sheets were also stained. To make matters worse, there was no housekeeper available to assist, so we had to change them ourselves. It’s disappointing because the hotel has a lot of potential. With better attention to cleanliness and maintenance—especially something as essential as fresh, clean sheets—it could live up to how it’s presented in photos.

The staff are amazing. Wine when we arrived was a nice treat! The breakfast they offer was great! Excellent all the way around!

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Customer service is terrible.
