La Playa Inn

Curtains were not fully blocking the lights in the morning and were not a blackout ones. The room TV was mediocre, without Netflix. Shower was small. Locations was ok yish

Love the style and details, feels new or updated, immaculately clean, friendly staff, very good grab and go breakfast with good coffee and tea and filtered water available 24 hrs. Covered parking which is free. Lovely grounds and filtered water available. Cozy beds and good water pressure in the shower. So close to everything we like to do yet a uiet I wish there were bikes available and that the beds were actually queens instead of full sized.

Amazing stay and great location!

The property was beautiful, the room was spotless and gorgeous, with a neat little balcony for us to sit outside. The continental breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, sweet rolls, breakfast sandwiches and more. An elevator to the second floor really helps seniors like myself and not many other places had one. Parking was easy and most of it was in a garage which was also a nice amenity. The gentleman who checked us in was warm and friendly and super helpful. I only wish I had stayed longer, a fantastic experience!

Great stay! Super helpful staff. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure and temperature in shower was great. Quiet property. AC worked great. Easy walking distance to things nearby. Very happy with our stay and would recommend!

Great location, staff, room for the cost.

The location is ideal. They have a delicious breakfast included. Additionally literally every single person who works there goes above and beyond for the guests. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I am a local and stay here when they turn our power off. At this point we are considering cancelling trips elsewhere to enjoy a staycation. I will absolutely be returning. Nothing.

Great stay at La Playa Inn. Check in was super easy. Front desk gave us a map of the town, told us all the hot spots, how to get around, and recommendations. Rooms were very spacious and super comfortable. Beds/pillows very comfortable…better than many hotels I’ve stayed at. Bathroom was very clean and quite large. Amenities were great - they have a small courtyard on ground floor to hang out at along with sofas and couches on each floor. Decor felt like I was at a resort. Parking was free and a ton of spaces. Breakfast was good, plenty of single packaged breakfast items along with cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, etc. Location was literally across the street from the marina/beach. The nightlife spots were a 20min walk, not too bad and at no point did I feel unsafe walking at 10-11pm coming back from the town center or at 6am walking to the beach to catch the sunrise. The town was a very nice small beach town with incredibly friendly people. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from La Playa Inn or the town but was genuinely blown away by how nice it was. Only stayed 1 night but lowkey wish I was there longer. I highly recommend La Playa Inn and will recommend for any friends/family going to Santa Barbara in the future.

Great Room and location near pier Wasn’t told homeless living on the street in front of property and sleeping in entrance to 7-11 or at the marina sidewalk.

Great location right by the beach, walkable there as well as State street which has all the local events (farmers mkt, etc)

Only a block or so from the beach and restaurants. Complimentary breakfast on the a cute courtyard patio. A tremendous value for the cost.
