Lavender Inn by the Sea

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the room right next to the lobby- which has a living space with fireplace, a separate room with a bed and a nice big bathroom! Our family (2 adults 2 kids 1 newborn) were quite comfortable. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool area is a bit small but my girls enjoyed it just the same.

Location

Only two "issues." The maintenance crew was cleaning the pool/property as early as 7:15 am on a Sunday morning. Too early to wake up on vacation. And the included breakfast was ok. Would have appreciated non-dairy options for coffee and cereal - though the manager solved it with a personal soy milk. Very kind. But I think soy or oat milk would be a good idea.

This is a wonderful hotel and in a great location. The property is well-kept and allows areas to relax outdoors. The sister property offers a hot tub across the street. There was a pool on the property along with a simple breakfast every morning. We enjoyed our stay!

Leigh at the front desk was very nice & helpful, made us feel right at home! Can’t wait to go back.

Very convenient location - walk to beach easily, easy access to 101. Bathroom small and pedestal sink leaves little room for your things. Property is quite old, looks a little tired. Very nice breakfast.

Very close to the beach, great restaurants, and ample parking. Lee is wonderful!

This was a very nicely maintained and relatively quiet hotel located in walking distance to the beach. There was a very nice museum in the park right across the street. I was pleasantly surprised at the good breakfast that was offered too.

Very nice staff with good amenities

I liked the lavender pouches they put in room and the lavender shampoo and body wash provided. Breakfast was yum and this is a cute place to stay close to restaurants and the water! Staff very helpful and nice.

Great location. Great staff and breakfast. Pool was lovely and clean. Rooms are very dated and desperately need refreshing. Room was dark, furniture old and worn, linens were old and dated. A/C was not very efficient.

Loved it

We had a great time. The room is adequate but the bathroom was huge. The bed was comfy. They provide snacks for breakfast and dinner. Parking is close. Hotel was close to everything. Biking is great, walking may be too far for some people. All in all, great place to stay and I will stay again.

The room had a cute separate place for our baby to sleep. Yummy breakfast.

Lee was awesome and very accommodating. I booked 2 rooms with queen beds for my sister and myself. We decided to book the inn that was close to the harbor for a well deserved R&R and live for a few days stress free. We didn’t realize not until we got there that the inn was proximate to the freeway. My room was upgraded to a deluxe at no extra charge but we never used the other bed in the other room. My room was carpeted, unlike my sister’s room had laminated floors that I liked better. The rooms were clean. Towels were white, clean, spotless and had a crisp, freshly laundered scent. Breakfast served from 7am-10am with sliced bread, bagels, muffins, croissants and a variety of pastries. They had a 4-slot toaster and 2 slots on the left warm up but do not toast. Iced water is served all day, same with coffee. They have a cooler with ice available also all day. They served free wine (red and white) with a pairing of cheese and crackers for adults and they also served cookies for kids from 4:30pm-6:30pm. The inn has an outdoor sitting area that is cozy where you can relax and enjoy the breeze to unwind. We would definitely return to the inn for another de-stressing vacay.
