Beautiful place! And so nice being right on State Street. Can’t wait to go back!

Clean and inviting lobby and bar area. Staff was so nice and helpful and welcoming. Very dog friendly. Rooms were clean and nice, bike rental was free and easy. Location was right in the middle of State Street, close to everything. Perfect little hotel and stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Everything was great!
-
The room was TINY and painted a dark brown which made the whole space feel small and dark. Our room was facing the busy street and it was noisy when trying to go to sleep.

Hotel Santa Barbara was very clean and kept up well. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is Valet parking which is important since it is in downtown Santa Barbara. It is on State st. Which is end to end restaurants, bars, and stores. A nice place to walk around. The only thing I did not like was that the room remodeling is too modern and sterile for a beautiful building built in 1926.

The Hotel Santa Barbara is situated perfectly. It’s a block from the Surfliner stop, has dozens of good restaurants within walking distance and Stearns Pier less than a mile away. The gym is limited, but decent for a hotel this size. Valet parking for $30 a night is a good deal. No pool, though. I had the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had in their lobby bar. I can’t wait to come back.

Highly recommended.

First time stay. The property is newly renovated in the old Santa Barbara Spanish style, Our room was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee and a bite to eat for breakfast. We loved the yoghurt with chia seeds and blueberries. The espresso was delicious. The server was fun to talk to and made our experience memorable. High class, high quality. Dog friendly.

The room was perfect! The staffing was some of the nicest staffing I’ve ever experienced. You can order out and they allow for food to be dropped off at your door!! (Even if it’s 1:00 am) It’s so convenient and the spot is PERFECT!!

The property was in the heart of state street which was so convenient! The staff was also exceptional! Everyone we encountered was so kind, helpful and overall pleasant to encounter which really made our wedding weekend less stressful! There are some things that are inevitable but it was unfortunate that our room (319) had a clogged shower for 2/4 days we were there, maintenance was called twice and it wasn’t until the second time it was fixed. My sisters room (222) was so humid, it almost felt like the sheets were damp and the fridge in (307) unknowingly & unfortunately did not work and my aunts food ended up spoiling. No issues in 321.

I love the style of the style of a hotel which I understand was recently redone. It would've been nice to have somewhere to have something to eat like a restaurant or room service in the morning or morning coffee. Of course stay straight is right out front but it's nice to be able to go directly to the lobby.

Room was clean and it was a great location! Would stay again

HSB was unique and special and a delightful surprise.

This boutique hotel is right in the mix of activity on State Street, but somehow keeps a calm and relatively quiet vibe inside. Very walkable to stores, shops, restaurants, bars, and we also relied on the property's valet parking for our many comings and goings for regional drives. On-site bar/cafe was prepared for coffee to cocktails, but there's a Starbuck's right next door too. Friendly, helpful staff and the high-end in-room products (robes, lotion, actual glass glasses, later check-out, etc) set scene for luxury stay.

Loved the location! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Will stay here again for sure!
-
This is a charming hotel in a historic refurbished building with a delightful small bar in the lobby and very helpful and pleasant staff. It is centrally located on State Street near shopping and the pier and the visitors center. It is my go-to place in Santa Barbara now. I love this hotel

Every staff member I encountered was very warm and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were very clean. I love that it’s located within walking distance of so many places I wanted to go. Great place. Would stay again!

Great location on lower State near restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shopping and a short walk to the beach, yet still quiet. Hotel felt newly renovated, rooms have all the necessities including single serve pour over coffee service and tea. Elevator is slow and small, but we only used it when we had our luggage in tow. We used valet parking which was easy and convenient. A great lifestyle hotel that we will definitely book again.
