Location and quality of the shower
-
Good location, friendly staff, free rent of the bike Small room and loud elevator. Overall nothing major, but a bit overpriced for the value you get

Great location, close to everything, very clean rooms. Staff was helpful and always around. I would go here again.
-
Great location. Very walkable and close to shopping and restaurants.

The reason for a score of “good” is due to the beds being extremely soft. Otherwise the hotel was in a great area, very clean and staff were very quick to respond to our requests. The valet service was also excellent.
-
Everything was great however, some guests were too loud in the super late at night.

As I agreed on getting the room that was ready she then handed me keys. I stood there for like 3 min waiting for her to say something like, welcome or here is a bit of helpful information about our hotel. She said nothing… I stood there and then after 3 minutes she looked at me and said, do you need something? I said, am I done? She laughed and said ya! Very passive-aggressive. When I checked out. I waited in the lobby for 3-4 min for someone to come help. One of the cleaning ladies ended up opening a door in which someone was just chilling in and she said to him, you have people outside waiting for you. By this time there were 3 of us in line. Overall I feel front desk needs training on hospitality.

The two top things about this hotel are really it's location (close to State and walking down to the beach, but not right ON State), and the staff I met. Location is fantastic since it's a few hundred feet back from State which can get noisy on weekend evenings. There are several restaurants, cafes, bars all within a few blocks walking and further down is a direct shot to the Wharf and beach sites. The valet and front desk were all professional and pleasant and greeted me promptly when I arrived, and the hotel offers complementary pedal bikes (although I did not use them). The room seemed clean (except for what I noted below), and the valet parking (which I also did not use) was convenient with lots nearby. Everything about the room essentially could have been better. I ended up in room 113 and it seems that entire group of rooms (109-115) is an additional building from the "original hotel". Let me tell you it shows. I had a king room that was stuffy, directly faced Haley, and clearly wasn't frequently occupied. There were spiders all over the windows facing the street (which were partially covered by white window tint.... yeah I'm not joking), the white window tint wasn't even professionally installed with uneven lines, the windows at the top were painted over and unable to be opened and the roller bar for the shower door had paint peeling on the underside. For $500 a night this room definitely did not meet expectations. I just recently joined Hilton after a great experience in Portland but this is sending me straight back into the arms of Marriott or 1Hotels. There are plenty of options in the surrounding area and I really wished I had gone that route, whatever the cost.

Great location, walking distance of many attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not as varied as we would have liked !
-
Great location, very comfortable room and beds, and nicely decorated. No free coffee
-
They had no coffee for breakfast. Gave me directions of a Starbucks. The water pressure in the shower was next to nothing.
-
There were no microwave ovens, iron/board, restaurant

Loved this hotel. Great location

The staff were incredible and switched us to another room for the next evening... they were friendly and professional, excellent staff. The loudest night ever at a hotel, our room was directly across from a bar with patrons outside yelling well past 2am. There was sleep noise machine in the room... now we understand why.

We showed up to the hotel and when we got to our room, we practically tripped on the bed. The room was so small. Also, the window was painted white so you didn't have to look out at the busy street. We decided not to stay and rather drive home that night instead. We had paid $475 in advance through Expedia. For that amount, we would have expected more. They didn't even provide a complimentary breakfast or parking. Fortunately, the hotel manager was very understanding, and he refunded the room 100%. I was able to work with an Expedia agent and they are processing the refund. If we had known in advance that the hotel was not acceptable, we never would have made the reservation.

Lovely boutique hotel off State Street makes for easy walking access to restaurants and shops and the harbor.
