Aggressive and intimidating staff member

This hotel basically sits on a freeway. Are you here is the roar of the cars. Also, the design of the bathroom is such that you cannot sit on the toilet and have the shower door closed. Also, there’s no headboard just two pillows propped up against the wall that fall on your head while you’re sleeping. There is also no dresser or closet. This is way overpriced for what it is.

Moxy had all the great amenities we were looking for in a hotel. Great location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Can’t wait to come back.

Great place
-
Short walking distance to everything we wanted to do in the Funk Zone and at the beach. No freeway noise or train noise in the rooms we booked. Friendly staff. No mini-fridge in the rooms.

I enjoyed the location and how everything was within walking distance. The staff was amazing, and the bartender made the best drinks I had that day. The room was perfect and the type of room i look for when i am looking to book a room. Best part was check out being at noon. n/a.

Love this place. Will definitely be back. Close to many cool things.

Staff was more than accommodating, Room was clean and comfortable, spent time in the eclectic lobby playing games with other quests.

For us this hotel was all about the location, perfect for spending time in the Funk Zone. We enjoyed the heated pool, and our (albeit small) patio for a glass of wine at sunset. The rooms are small but decorated cute, the staff is friendly and attentive.

Great property, rooms are a little quirky but facility is great overall and the location is perfect.

Thedesk staff was incredibly rude. My colleagues and I were sitting for a chat in the lobby and the front desk person literally kicked us out and said that the public spaces closed at 11pm. I've never hear dof such a thing.

Great cool boutique hotel. Very clean. It is next to the freeway but I found the cars passing soothing.

The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making check-in a breeze. I loved the unique vibe of the hotel. The check-in area is a bar and the lobby doubles as a game room. There’s also a commercial fridge, microwave, and complimentary coffee, tea, and even dog treats for all guests, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, Moxy was a great choice for my stay and if I ever visit Santa Barbara again, I'm definitely staying here.

Nice staff very good location clean rooms

Great walking area close by. The price is why I would not stay again. I might for around half the price per night if I wanted to stay on more of a budget night with less of a room, but it was WAY overpriced for what I felt we got. I found myself wishing we had chosen a different hotel.
-
Dorm room style room, no amenities to speak of. An awkward bathroom situation. Right next to freeway. No dining, proper breakfast etc. Didn’t fully understand from pics what was what. Not fully grasping the price/value. Other than that, nice and friendly staff, convenient to State Street, Funk Town, wharf, etc.

Check-in was disastrous, but the rest of the stay was fine. Carlos was exceptional!!!

Tiny rooms and nowhere to really hang clothes up or put a suitcase
