Secret Garden Inn and Cottages

Location to downtown and quiet residential area. Breakfast brought to the room each morning. Hot tub availability. The cottage was basically simple. Spartan. Mattress was extremely soft, felt like it had been there forever. Couldn't open drapes to let in light as the room backed up to both the alley and the parking lot, zero privacy. We were there for rest and relaxation and the alley noise and parking lot activities were irritating. The hot tub on the enclosed patio was a perk, except the water quality was cloudy, lacking maintenance attention. The breakfast brought to the room was a perk, but the menu was exactly the same two mornings in a row. One needed to really enjoy spinach quiche twice. One morning the croissants didn't come with butter or jam. The second morning they did, again uneven attention to details. The plush bathrobes offered were quite damp upon our arrival. They were replaced with dry ones, but again...uncertain if the damp ones were clean but not yet dry, OR the damp ones hadn't yet been replaced from prior renter. Again, lack of attention to details. The wifi signal was intermittent and weak due to our room being the farthest away from the router in the main house, making wifi unusable in our room. For over $400 a night paid, the general run- down quality of the rental left a bad taste. I've rented this Bed & Breakfast 3 times in the past without any unpleasant experiences. I expected more from our 4th stay.

I wish I could give the Secret Garden Inn and Cottages a perfect 5-stars but check-in was a disaster. Check-in was to start at 3 pm, but when my wife and I got there just before 3 pm, no one was there to check us in until 3:20 pm. Then we discovered our room at the Inn was different than what we had reserved. The room itself was ok, just a bed, dresser and two chairs, pus bath. The breakfast was excellent, home-made quiches and croissants with jam, OJ, coffee, melon. So mixed review.

The hot, homemade breakfast was the highlight of our stay, as was the garden. The accommodations were cozy and quaint, complete with antique furnishings and some modern amenities like a small fridge. We would definitely stay there again.

Such a cute spot! We booked the Garden room which was adorable and very private. We loved all the skylights and windows with trees and plants surrounding us. It was nice to wake up to the birds chirping and a phenomenal breakfast delivered to our door! The croissants are to die for, I think they make them in house!! We loved our stay

The first thing we

Adorable room and grounds. The hot tub was perfect and the breakfast delicious. We selected the room we did for the privacy and even put out a do not disturb sign. The cleaners still attempted to come into the room while we were still sleeping. I then had to get up and talk to them and they seemed to not know that we had the room for another day. They came back and left equipment out in yard after we had closed the gate. It was a little frustrating, but overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

Relaxing, peaceful and very private

This is a charming and peaceful bed and breakfast surrounded by pretty gardens. The breakfast was delicious and the convenience of private parking made our stay even better.
