Our stay was a fairy tale. We only stayed one night but it was a welcome respite. I was transported to England. A beautiful garden with soothing fountains and a quaint garden and delicious. Frank, Hailey and Dana greeted us like old friends. Top notch hospitality. One of the best places. We will be back again. Thank you

I would have eaten elsewhere for that price. I emailed the hotel never heard back and disputed the charge with my credit card company.

This stay did not meet expectations, especially given the price paid. The room was extremely cold, and despite my requests, the air conditioning continued running at full blast. In the middle of the night I was shivering so badly that I had to contact the front desk and request a room change the next day.

we loved our stay and can't wait to come back! the gardens were beautiful to relax in, breakfast was great, and room was so well decorated! such a unique stay and great service!

We loved our newly remodeled room and bathroom, luxurious linens, robes and slippers and all the extra details. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts on the porch, tea time, cookies, turn down service and personalized welcome. They even gave us a gift at departure. Olivia met us in the driveway and showed us around. The rest of the staff (e.g. Lena, David) were friendly, congratulated us on our daughters graduation, and served a made to order breakfast with homemade pastries. We were in the Katherine McCormick room, which had stained glass windows without coverings, so the hall light and early morning light were too bright.

Great experience. From the warm, friendly and helpful welcome (in the parking lot, as we arrived), to the exquisite decor and surrounds. Frank, who greeted us, continued to be the perfect host and we will long remember the service from Dana over breakfast on the patio. Couldn't recommend this properly highly enough. Well done to all.

One of the best places we have stayed in.

This is special retreat within Santa Barbara. We had a wonderful stay here, we loved the green lush grounds, warm and friendly staff and comfortable rooms with all amenities. They do fantastic breakfast too - the staff go all out to make you feel welcome and happy during your stay. We also loved reading our books on the verandah balcony and within the grounds with freshly baked cookies and lemonade/ iced tea every late afternoon! We hope to return soon to this tranquil beautiful gem in Santa Barbara. Thank you for making our time here so special and magical!

What an amazing, peaceful stay at Simpson House! The staff was wonderful, making us feel extra special for our anniversary. They gave us helpful recommendations and were just so nice and wonderful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It’s like your staying in the middle of magical garden. It’s also walking distance to State St shops and restaurants. 5 stars all the way!

Lovely, property, excellent staff, beautiful grounds.

Beautiful grounds that feel secluded while being right by downtown Santa Barbara. The cabins are unique, clean, and charming. The staff go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and welcome.

Relaxing, but central! Nothing!

Service was excellent. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown around the property, assisted with the luggage and showed us to our room. For breakfast, we arrived a little early, but the waiter and kitchen staff accommodated us as we needed to head up the coast to the Monterey area. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast outside on the veranda. We would have loved to stay longer, but time did not allow.

The included breakfast was very good and plenty of food. The afternoon refreshments could have been better. It was the same every day. Lemonade, tea and scones. The grounds are beautiful and the service was excellent. The location is very walkable and there is a beautiful park across the street. I would stay again.

Quiet little place to stay. The staff really does meet you outside when you pull up and shows you around. The Inn is close to State street, where you're able to walk to the shops and eat. The room is very clean, with air conditioner. They do offer breakfast. The grounds were beautiful. Lovely little stay!

Marvelous, as always. Spent 3 nights this time. Wandered around SB by foot (20,000 steps per day), and slept like babies at night.

Very relaxing weekend with spectacular garden landscape for napping outdoors. The hayloft room was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable.
