The suites were a good use of space. Bed/pillows were comfortable. The hot tub was a very nice feature as well. Breakfast was above average; not excellent. In this part of Calif it is reasonable to ask for a higher quality of fresh fruit to be served at this time of year: strawberries, melon, better apples, etc. Unfortunately, we had a room that borders the street. There was a lot of traffic and street noise. The extra parking fee was excessive.

* The lobby was large, spacious, and pleasant. * Breakfast was a good option, especially since we were traveling with children. What I didn’t like * The room was very worn out, dirty, and poorly maintained. Many surfaces looked sticky and unpleasant. * There were visible damaged areas and a lot of general wear and tear. * The room was extremely dark. Even during the daytime, with all the lights on, it was difficult to see well enough to sit and do any writing or work. * The walls were extremely thin. We could clearly hear the guests above us and the neighbors next to us. * There were stains on the bedding. * The bathroom faucet was difficult to turn off completely and had to be positioned very precisely to stop the water from running. * The hot tubs and some other areas of the property looked worn and needed better maintenance. * I’m not expecting a brand-new or recently renovated hotel, but broken or damaged things should at least be repaired and kept looking clean and reasonably well cared for. * The $100 refundable damage deposit was an additional charge, and it was unclear what exactly it covered or how pre-existing damage was documented. * Parking was an additional $16. * We paid around $250 for one night, plus the $100 damage deposit and $16 parking. At that price, we expected a much better-maintained room.

The hotel was clean The parking garage spaces are really tight and it could be safer to have a gated entry to the garage

Most horrible hotel!! Very outdated. Toilet doesn’t flush anything but liquids. Bath tub had sand & hair before we showered. Will never stay there again even if it is free!!

This property is on Ocean Street. I must have thought it would be on the ocean. Not even close. We arrived around 3 in the afternoon. We weren't allowed to check in until 4. The breakfasts were not great. Overall, I wouldn't recommend

Good location The rate was too high for the 2 day high. Hotel needs to be updated.

The maids and cleaner staff were amazing. Our room was so clean and homey. The front desk staff weren’t rude, but they definitely aren’t giving a luxery or warm feeling either. The breakfast was just okay, definitely not a staff problem and most definitely just the company using cheap products the staff do the best they can. PARKING. Why am I paying for parking that fills up and I can’t use it? I had to content the front desk to have the charge cleared for one night. It was also hard to work in half of the spots in the parking garage unless you’re like on a bike or moped. Very Marie and unsafe. Elevator was very sketchy and needs a facelift bad. NO POOL. When we checked in the hotel staff didn’t tell us about the hot tub so we didn’t even get to use that. You should inquire about it having electric bike stand outside of hotel to make downtown more accessible. Overall, this place desperately need a makeover and again not a cleaning staff issue they do amazing with what they have and were the most friendly and professional staff as well. Night staff on 8/15 was the nicest front desk staff she was a younger gal and helped us make new keys. ICE MACHINE BROKEN on third floor, no food or drink vending machines. Need warmer comforters on the beds it felt like being covered in just sheets.

The main problem was there was no guaranteed secure parking and the parking spots were impossibly tight. I ended up parking at another garage half a mile away.

Their parking garage is very hard to maneuver and it took us a long time to be able to park our car as it has super tight spaces. And there is a nightly parking fee which I thought should be complimentary. It is not as close to the beach or boardwalk as mentioned, it’s at least 20-25 mins walk. But the staff was super helpful and their breakfast was really good. Very clean and well maintained overall.
