Hyatt Place Santa Cruz

The breakfast was a mess. Food was all over the place, the staff was horrible, and it looked like they did not care. I paid over $500.00 for a room. I will never stay in this place again.

By far my favorite hotel in Santa Cruz. The staff is so welcoming and nice. The pool was heated and they have a hot tub which was open until 10 pm giving my kids a plenty of time for a night swim after a long day of sightseeing. The first is clean. The breakfast and coffee is absolutely amazing. Each morning they had wonderful selections! It was about a 12 min walk from the boardwalk. Coffee and ice cream shops! The valet were so informative and personable.

It was beautiful inside. The art was super cool. The breakfast was great. The pool area was beautiful and the hot tub was great.

We love this hotel! This was our second time staying with kids and we love how clean the rooms are. Staff is super helpful and brought us extra pillows and blankets for our boys. Pool is great! Large hot tub and breakfast was delish! We like that its set back from the loud boardwalk but still very walkable. We will be back!

Clean and well maintained. Really good breakfast. Valet service was convenient and exceptionally fast. Only complaint was the towels were not replaced after cleaning had to go ask for more.

Staff is Great. Property was nice. Room was Nice. Pool and Hottub were nice and clean. Check in was not very good. We arrived at 1 and were told Our room would be prepared by 3. We came back a little after 3 and had to wait till around 5 and watched Everyone else check in and get Their room. No Enjoyable At All!

Morning coffee was bad, tasted burnt. Valet parking was a downside.

Front staff girl with dark hair was not friendly, the rest were. Vallet did not help at all with luggage; unloading or loading. You have to rent fire pits for $25, I was told they were out of s’mores kits (another $20 purchase) and I could walk down the road to a store if I wanted some. Had to dig deep on website to realize that you had to rent the firepit and buy the s’mores. Party lights in fire pit area did not work, nor did fireplace in lobby. Breakfast was good. Took 2+ hours to get more towels, I went down to lobby to get myself, they told me no housekeeping will bring it up. Aesthetically, the hotel was cute, the gym was small but equipped with essentials.

The valet parking was chaotic. Breakfast was a crazy mad house, we ended up not having breakfast there. We tired two different times and it was just nuts . The location was good, 10 minute walk to the boardwalk. 12-16 minute walk to downtown area. Rooms was clean and tidy. No one’s was rooms were ready when we arrived at 5. They also forgot to give us bath towels for showering. Staff was friendly

We really enjoyed the pool, free breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff.

We were traveling with 2 little kids, so we asked for our room to be cleaned while we were out all day. 5 hrs later and our room wasn’t ready not cleaned. My baby threw up on the bedding and we had dirty diapers waiting outside our door. We didn’t get fresh bedding until 6:30pm. I had to call about it 2x. Pool was decent but they didn’t have towels all day Friday. We asked for towels multiple times. It never came. My family will be staying somewhere else next time. Wasn’t worth $500/night plus valet fee each night. Ripe off. Free continental breakfast doesn’t make up for everything that failed.

Very clean and the staff was amazing my kids absolutely enjoyed there stay

Staff was accommodating for our needs. With blankets, pillows and towels. The valet parking staff were also super helpful with places to go to and do. Only think I wish the rooms had was microwave. You pay a lot to stay there and no microwave. Kinda first world problems but nonetheless, a downside.

We stayed for a night and it was superb. The room super clean and modern. The breakfast was really good too would highly recommend

I traveled with my family and, unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations given the room rate of approximately $500 per night. Housekeeping did not service our room daily, and our request for fresh towels was ignored throughout the day. The valet parking service was efficient, although it cost an additional $23 per day. Overall, the experience did not provide good value for the price, and I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

The room was nice and clean. The pool was a little small and located in the middle of the hotel & I feel it’s aimed more towards kids/teens. Location was great! Really close to the boardwalk and pier. They also have valet parking which was nice. I’d stay again for sure.
