The Aqua Pacific Hotel

The room had lots of damge to the wall and doors. Poor repair jobs. Poor neigborhood. Noisy area with questionable people hanging about. Poor parking areas.

There are outside sitting areas around the hotel that are good vibes! Definitely worth it! Highly recommended!

Coffee maker was not working in the morning. Had to wake up the front desk to get a new one

It’s a quiet place and fine for spending the night; I liked that it’s close to the beach.

Bed was very squishy and didn’t have any real form to it at all. Was really hard to sleep in

The shower door does not close completely n it slide that makes d water splash on d floor

Parking was easy but the rooms felt so dirty. I’m sure it was clean but everything was run down and the door hinge was quite loose. For what you pay for it makes sense since it’s cheaper than the vast majority of the stays in Santa Cruz. Bottom line is I got some sleep, had a place to stay and had a place to freshen up and that’s all I was looking for. If that’s you, it’s not bad.

Staff was great, located in an area near the pier, food, activities. Had a large pool, smaller size jacuzzi, and had corn hole and other games in the pool area.

It’s okay if you just need a place to sleep for short stay, I would not stay here again or recommend for a long term stay. Property was not the most clean and could be better. Their sign out front advertises an indoor heated pool but it’s not indoor or heated; passing by the hotel it looks like it’s indoor because the windows they put in front of the pool lol. Not sure if I didn’t see any outlets but there were no outlets on the nightstands. We were using the two plugs under the tv for everything. Also not the best lighting in the room , felt like the room was dark and there wasn’t much light in there. Window was very small and we didn’t even want to open the window since someone’s balcony was right across from us. Front office checked us in quickly , only gave us one key and they charge for lost keys btw . They do have free parking which was nice I know some other hotels in area charge for parking .

If budget is a major criteria (it was for me for a short layover on a weekend night) this is a decent option in a town that is very expensive for Friday or Saturday stays. Central location, free parking, in-room fridge and temp controls, and most important, a clean room with a comfy, firm mattress and cushy topper and nice linens. I had no problem with noise from adjacent rooms or traffic during the night. It was adequate lodging for one night. 1) My room had no wifi and cell reception was blocked in my location. 2) Harsh white LED bulbs! 4) Pipes in adjacent room whining whenever sink is run. 5) Cheap cleaning fluid -- overwhelming odor when I arrived, but aired while I was out a few hours with an open window and fan blowing. Be aware if room has been recently sanitized. 6) The plank flooring was sticky, bring slippers. 7) The soap dispenser in my shower was empty and the bed topper was rumpled.
