Flamingo Resort & Spa Santa Rosa Sonoma, Tapestry by Hilton

I would like to point out the positives first acknowledging that everything was not terrible. The room itself was roomy and the bathroom especially was quite large. The front desk staff was very pleasant and the housekeeper I met in the hall was also very nice and helpful. The location of my room was great as it was right off the pool, very convenient if I wanted to take a swim. Now unfortunately the bad. I was at the bathroom sink the next morning and I noticed some movement out of the corner of my eye. Upon further inspection I was able to identify a silverfish making it's way across the floor crossing a towel. I understand an occasional bug in the room happens from time to time even in the best hotels. So I was going to mention it to the desk when checking out and not probably think about it again. But, then I found another bug. This time, what Google identified as a cockroach, was found. Not just in my room, but in my recently used bed. I discovered this one while making my bed a little tidier for the staff. I explained the situation to the desk upon checking out and informed them I probably would not be returning. To their credit they did refund part of my stay, but honestly I would have preferred to pay full price and have the room to myself without the uninvited room crashers.

The room we were assigned the first night was terrible. We asked to be moved but were denied, The second morning we asked to be moved and were again denied. We tried to watch TV but could not get it to work. The desk sent a maintenance worker to assist. He could not make it work so called his supervisor who was also unable to get it started. He then got us moved to a much more satisfactory room hence the medium ranking. If that move didn’t happen rating is 0.

The resort was amazing. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant and fitness classes.

They didn’t have the type of room I reserved. The biggest draw back is that the rooms are very tired looking.

Getting onto internet was a bit annoying. Poor lighting in room

Amazing staff at this property. I travel extensively and this was the first time I felt like I could relax on a business trip. If you have time to enjoy the pool, it’s amazing. The bartender is capable, making us wonderful cocktails. We decided to design in the house and dinner was equally good.

Clean room and very comfortable bed. Liked the unique layout and eye masks.

lots of moisture from the open shower that spread into the living area. floor tiles peeling off due to the water. ants in the bathroom due to water. great hotel, needs a little tlc..

An amazing time with the kids! I traveled solo mom for an overnight vacation and we loved it. The amenities were great-pool, spa, restaurant. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Lots of food options for kids and adults. I felt the room was clean, spacious, and secure. There were many other families enjoying the space. It was relaxing for me and fun for my children,- I will come back again. Thank you!
