Loved the place, this was my second time staying at the place. However, the breakfast was only yogurt and granola. Coffee was not found anywhere.
-
The staff was amazing and the rooms were clean and the breakfast was great!
-
Definitely a cute, funky place, but unfortunately the funkiness included the room's smell.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The check in process was thorough and efficient. The room was clean, spacious, and had all of the amenities needed for our stay. The free breakfast was excellent and delicious.

Loved the theme and decor and the friendly staff

We had a room on 2nd floor, and I didn't see an elevator, so if you're disabled, you might want to check about access before going
-
Very clean and dog-friendly. Comfy bed. Enjoyed the decor and design elements of the hotel---wonderful garden with sculpture (and fun Astro Motel tees for sale). Easy self checkout and everyone was very nice.

First, I love the retro/space theme and decor. The motel is super clean, the price was right and the art district location provided a quiet central launch point for local wineries, breweries, food, downtown, etc. There are several outdoor areas to relax on site, and the lounge is a great place to congregate and meet other guests. Wednesday was happy hour there, and Angel was a pleasure to hang out and chat with! Need more hh nights! And of course, if you love the Peanuts comic strip, you must visit the Charles M Schulz Museum only 10 minutes away. I'll stay again upon my next visit to Santa Rosa!

This place is super cute! I had a basic queen room on my way home from the airport.... stayed with my pup. It is very dog friendly, room was small but clean and adorable, with the most comfortable bed and really good coffee in the morning! I am a pretty picky person and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfy and thoughtfully decorated, as well as stocked the room was. After a long night of travel, I was happy to find the fridge stocked with a couple good beers and healthy snacks as well! Great stay, and my dog was happy as well:-) highly recommend

This is my favourite hotel in the whole of California. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, mega comfortable beds and a laid back vibe that allows you to truly switch off. I’ve stayed here 4 times now and always look forward to coming back.

We had a fabulous stay. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

The property has 3 tattoo shops across the street and a corner market behind it that attracted some characters. On the other side of the hotel is a park that looked beautiful but also added to a sense of insecurity about what activity we might be surrounded by through the night. The front desk clerk unlocked the door to let us in to the office. All of this initial “feel” was not something you can know by selecting from Expedia like we did. The room was fine, though. We just had no desire to go out exploring at night and didn’t want to risk the last parking spot we took out front. The next option is to park in a lot between the hotel and the market and it felt insecure.

We were in town for a concert at Sonoma State but ended up going to the Hot Air Balloon Fest at the fairgrounds, as well, since it fell on the same weekend. SSU was about 15 minutes away and the fair grounds was roughly a mile down the street. The location of The Astro is perfect. Right across from a beautiful little park (Juilliard) and the Luther Burbank Home and Gardens, and a short walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa. But the best part were really the property and staff. It is one of those unique places that puts details into everything. From the carefully chosen colors and furniture, to the beautiful grounds, perfect breakfast (including fresh fruit from their garden) and amazing staff. It will definitely be a place that we will return to. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Really enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint is that the mattress was too soft for me.

I would give 10 stars. Super cute motel, staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
