Location next to train station, a lot of transients

I am a Hotels.com VIP and unfortunately was cut off as soon as 11am check out hit. My key did not work and wifi cut off! I could not even get back in to grab my bag without going back to the lobbby. Once it again it is usually a nice stay but this was very frustrating and the only take away I left with.

Like going through a time warp Parking in a general parking lot
-
Room was very clean, great staff, easy parking and close to restaurants and shops
-
Very nice place to stay if you want to feel like being at home away from home! So cozy and convenient location.
-
Beautiful room at the carriage house. Very comfy for my granddaughter and I. Close to shopping, coffee and other restaurants. Convenient location and locked gate to property just adds security.
-
The room was very beautiful and seemed like a good deal to me. The room was very clean and seemed recently remodeled.

I have stayed at the La Rose three times. I love the historic and carriage house. The carriage house is newer and is my favorite but the historic is so charming. I love the location as well.

I ended up going to The Bird and the Bottle. I highly recommend! The restaurant downstairs was good. We had the breakfast before heading out.

Experience was a little underwhelming but given we weren't really in the room for the majority of the trip I won't hold that against them but if you are one who stays in your room quite a bit during travel expect bare minimum as far as amenities and service goes. Overall Experience was okay, would recommend for travelers who are active during their trips rather than spending time at the hotel.

Conveniently located and well maintained. The staff is great and everything is within walking distance. Love this place.

Location was excellent. Handy for bars, restaurants, transport etc. Would have liked even just a vending machine even in the room with the tables so a snack could be purchased 24/7 although I accept it may not be in keeping with the general feel of the building.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Wehad a very nice and pleasant stay

Hubby and I had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the main building & it was a beautiful room. It’s in a perfect location to walk to eat & shop downtown. We can’t wait to return.
-
Fun to stay in an historical locale and I liked the location. The restaurant downstairs was not so great.

This was a lovely spot, the staff was super helpful, there was places to eat nearby that were super walkable.

We stayed at the Carriage House. The grounds are very nice there. Check in was friendly and fine. There was no offer of help with the luggage. Great location in Santa Rosa, very walkable. You get some road noise but not much. Our room was lovely. There is always coffee and bottled water in the hotel proper. We stayed for 5 days and only had housekeeping once. Honestly, the cleaning job was underwhelming. Only one set of towels per person (2) was left. Even though I took out all the decaf they put decaf back and only left one day's worth of real coffee kcups. The toilet and sink did not look thoroughly cleaned. My side of the bed was worn and sloping. The restaurant adjoining the hotel really has no relationship to the hotel so no room service or charging food to your room. However, we hit Grossman's one afternoon wanting something to drink and stumbled into their happy hour and it was a great deal!

We only used the elevator for our luggage; otherwise, we enjoyed taking the carpeted stairs to get to our fourth-floor room and get some needed steps in after all the wine tasting. Parking was very convenient, just 50 yards away in a big lot with ample space, even for our 15-seater van. It was $33 extra for two days, but totally worth it. The attached restaurant, Grossman's, was phenomenal for breakfast or lunch. The Reuben and the bread pudding were absolutely fabulous. If we come back, this hotel will be our first choice.

I immediately went downstairs to the front desk, where I was helped by Trevor. Trevor was great. He immediately apologized and was doing everything he could to stop the leak. Unfortunately for the both of us, he called his nuissance of a manager, Pablo. Absolute waste of salary spent on this guy. On the phone, he tried to close the book by saying the "best he could do for me was provide me with a bucket." I had to be the one to initiate receiving a full refund and credit for the next hotel, not him. 2.5 hours later, after contacting Tom, the hotel owner, my partner and I finally arrived at the next hotel, which was 5 am. I have never experienced such a poorly handled situation by hotel management in my life. The place is old, run down, and clearly not suited for emergencies. If I could give this "establishment" 0 stars, I would. Me and my partner's safety was put at risk, and management did the bare minimum to accomadate the inconvience.
