Wingate by Wyndham Chicago Schaumburg

With many flight cancellations at O'Hare that night, by midnight I was desperate to find a room even this far away, so I was glad the bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The breakfast was poor for what they charged ($20): weak coffee, poor selection of pastries, scrambled eggs that had waited too long. Not the hotel's fault but I paid a fortune for a taxi (my Uber app was glitching); the next morning it cost half what I paid for the taxi to get back to O'Hare via Uber.

Location The refrigerator was broken in the first room. The second room was dirty, the tub was gross, the AC unit smelled terrible, no remote for TV, and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Room overall was spot on, the bathroom looked like they filmed Mortal Kombat inside it. So many patches jobs it was just terrible and I could do better work

The biggest issue was the noise from the room above us. We could clearly hear heavy footsteps and people walking across the floor. It was especially loud at night when we were trying to sleep, and the noise actually scared my child and made it difficult for us to get a good night’s rest. I understand that some noise is expected in a hotel, but the floors and walls seemed to have very little sound insulation. I would recommend addressing the noise issue and investigating the musty smell, as both significantly affected our stay.

the front desk staff was very polite and professional. The room was clean and the location is quiet and safe. I liked how parking was very close and the morning breakfast was very nice

The problems with the hot water coming out from the shower. The shower nozzle needs to be fixed. I was ready to take a shower and hot water did not come out. I ran the water for about 10 minutes, but nothing happened, I called the front desk and no body answered. I called room service & finally got answer. I mentioned about it and asked to send someone to my room. He said no one here. He is alone. He finally came up juggled around the faucet and finally hot water came out, Room was not cleaned daily. The service was not good.

This hotel was the best super big and affordable will def stay again

Very spacious room! Hotel was clean throughout. Staff were helpful when I ran into a minor issue and had some requests. Free breakfast and many options - better to go sooner than later as some items run out closer to the end of breakfast. Free wifi that worked well. Overall we had a great experience and would come back!

We, a family of 3, stayed here for one night recently. Check-in was easy, and the room was spacious and nice. There was a lot of wear and tear in the bathroom. A/C was good. The bed was comfortable for sleeping, but the pillow was not that great. There were lots of noises from the top floor throughout the night. It was strange that those noises could be heard from our room. Breakfast was good, but they could extend the timing from 6:30-9 to 6:30-10 at least. Anyways, it was a good experience.
