Wingate by Wyndham Chicago Schaumburg

I will let the pictures speak for themselves! Place looks clean but as soon as we walked in there is a bad smell, Also we opened the sofa bed and the mattress was all stained! That’s were it all started besides the gloomy hallway and key not working. Then as I looked closer all the walls are a filth. At night we could hear people walking above us after midnight. I do not recommend this place and I would NEVER stay here ever again. Sorry this place needs a deep cleaning for sure!!!!

We checked into our king room with a pull out bed. Immediately we saw the pull out bed was broken when we tried to get it set up. When we asked the front desk for a different room because this was the bed my daughter would sleep on, they were very condescending, asking me more than once if I knew how to open it. I have one at home. It clearly had two metal bars sticking out that should've been attached. The whole couch kept tipping over when you tried to pull it out. At first they weren't going to accommodate us saying they only had one other room and another reservation was coming. We said we were here now and they would have time to fix the other bed. It was very frustrating. Finally they switched us to another room. When we got there, there was no remote for the TV. The first one they sent didn't work. The second one only worked if you were right next to the tv sensor but it was better than nothing.

I was hesitant after reading other recent reviews and so I was extra observant while there. We did not experience any problems with our room, hallways, or public areas. The morning breakfast was just as good as most chain hotels we have used. Our room was clean and comfortable. The price was normal for the area we stayed in. The staff were friendly and attentive. We only stayed one night. The only “negatives” I can think of is that the tub had a slow drip and the elevator was a little bit noisy, but operated just fine. Neither was anything to ruin our stay.

Over all place is in a great location stall overall was great only complaint I have is water pressure in showers but that’s it everything else was great

The staff was helpful in the breakfast was good, the location was also convenient. They clean your room only when you ask, but they always did it when asked and were friendly.

Basic hotel with limited availability of breakfast items. I could not relate to those travelers who rates this hotel as excellent. Room was very dark, had no light in the “kitchen” area (I had to move a desk lamp over to the kitchen area), carpet to the bathroom was not tucked under the transition strip and was coming apart, bathroom door would not close tight (kept opening on its own) drywall around shower was damaged and needed to be patched, moved the night stand to plug in my laptop and was scared by the outlet that lacked a plate cover and had a device plugged into it to allow for more than 2 things to be plugged into it.

The room was clean overall but it had a lot of little things that could have used a little extra attention. I would say it wasn’t worth the price I paid, but I would stay again for about half the cost.

I requested a baby crib and when I got there the girl who work at front desk said they dont have the mattress for the crib and they dont have anything to put the baby to sleep in so we ended up taking turns to sleep and in the morning the guy at the front desk said they do have a play pin but the girl is new employee and she didnt know .that is horrible

Clean and great breakfast.

Breakfast is Ok: banana, apple, Activa yougart, Cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee/tea/hot chocolate.

The walls were extremely thin and there was noise upstairs until 4:15am. To their credit, the staff attempted to speak with the guests but it had no effect.

The room needs a major upgrade in the bathroom: shower water drained slowly, the fan for humidity did nothing. The maid did not clean our room one day, and technically we only spent 2 nights. Even though the breakfast was hot, it was just mediocre!

We requested housekeeping change our sheets, empty waste baskets, provide clean towels and never received these services. We stayed 4 days. Housekeeping came in and took trash out of the waste basket and put the waste basket on top of the coffee counter and left it there I have pictures. The food from the restaurant was nasty. There was no phone in the room if we had an emergency there woulda been a problem. The staff was friend but thats all. I took pictures I want a refund. Horrible experience.

Loved it! This was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our western trip and probably the nicest Wyndham we’ve ever stayed at, and we have stayed in a lot of them

The material holding the shower bar on was rusted and peeled back Air conditioner worked well on day one but not after that. There were no protein options for breakfast outside of a small yogurt. The apple juice option was coming out as water. This property is super close to medieval times. That’s why we utilize it. I’m beginning to think there are better options just as close or closer. It’s not our first time here. The quality just seems to be going down through the years

Very nice room, a little dimly lit but a nice and comfortable room.

Booked a 2 queen bed room got a to full size bed room. Bathroom was not very clean. Halls and rooms did not smell clean. Breakfast was ok pancake machine was not working properly. When I went back to my room I couldn't get back in my key card was deactivated. I would not stay at this location again.
