Sonesta Simply Suites Chicago O'Hare Airport

I had an unexpected layover due to Chicago weather. Staff nice. No friills but the bed was comfortable. I was there only a few hours to sleep and then directly back to ORD. Only vending machines. Has kitchenette which I did not use. Shuttle is 10-15 minutes.

Clean room laundry Kitchen

I've stayed here on numerous occasions. I'm currently here now for business until Oct. 17.

Okay to stay if you are in a rush. Far from the city. Staff could be more welcoming

Stuff is very helpful and quick.

It had laundry and a gym. I didn't have time to use it, though. The room was a nice size. I walked in the room, which appeared to be clean. The first night I did my usual of lysol spray, clorox cleaning spray, and wipes to all hard and soft services. That was fine. The next day I started ironing my clothes and the stap to my jumpsuit touched the floor I grabbed it and a lot of hair came up on my clothes. The floor is dark so to the naked eye it appears to be clean. I got a paper towel and went over one part of the floor. It was disgusting. The manager had the nerves to tell me I should've checked the room the first day. Be aware they allow dogs and I stopped up and sneezing because of the dog hair. I had this room for about a month. Please see photos. The manager sent someone to clean the floors. These photos were before and after the cleaning. The first picture is before.. tge rest are after. I ended up cleaning the floors myself. Also the kitchen sink was dirty when I got there, but I cleaned that. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE. The front desk associates were nice. THEY ALSO CHARGE $12 A DAY FOR PARKING IN THEIR HOTEL PARKING LOT.. RIDICULOUS!! My room was at the end by the staircase. There were people hanging out in the staircase and in the hall near my door. I called the front desk ... but nothing was done. I was afraid since I was alone. I spent at least 2 nights a week with my friend or my sister. I also had to check out 2 days earlier due to the surgery I needed. Hopefully, I can get a refund for those days.

I tried to cancel my reservation which I paid an additional amount for cancellation protection through Expedia and they wouldn't allow me to cancel my reservation which I literally made 2 hrs. Before. Horrible customer service. Every chance I get I will say horrible things about the website and hotel.

You have to wait until 4pm to get your room and so where to wait …

That you booked me for another week which they forgot to book. My entire trip flights rental cars and hotels. EVERY ONE was screwed up by your company and I will NEVER use booking .com again it cost me at least one thousand dollars more than if I would have done it myself. Kinda hard for a retired person to have to pay for all this extra bullshit

Love this brand, especially the minimalist yet utitarian kitchen design and the awesome collection of "kitchen on demand" appliances. Nice price and wonderful, easy and fast airport shuttle service.

Room was spacious and clean

Very convenient shuttle from airport and room was nicely sized. Bed was incredibly comfortable!

In theory, being close to the airport was convenient for a short in and out trip. 1) We chose this hotel in large part because of the airport shuttle amenity. When we arrived, we were put on hold for over 15 minutes and then told to call when we reached the shuttle pick up location and insisted that we had to wait until we got to the location because they would “be there and gone in seconds.” We called again 2 minutes later when we reached the pick-up, were placed on another 5 minute hold, then were told that the shuttle would be there “any minute.” We waited 25 minutes before calling again, the hotel staffer sounded frantic and confused, and then said he’d call again and we waited another 10 minutes before the shuttle finally appeared (total wait: 57 minutes) 2) Our flight was delayed, so we called ahead to the hotel to let them know and confirm that a late check-in would be no issue. They insisted that it was fine and that they would make note of our late arrival and “it would be no issue.” Instead when we finally arrived after waiting 57 minutes for the shuttle, it took over 20 minutes to reinstate our reservation and they struggled consistently with the reservation technology when the system kept trying to charge us despite already paying on booking.com 3) The room itself was not thoroughly cleaned. My partner had a lot of difficulty sleeping when the air conditioner was running (which was a necessity to feel adequately comfortable to sleep); dust and mold impacting the air quality was an ongoing concern during our stay.

The room smelled really bad and the utensils in the drawer were not clean. I think it was the rug the bed and the shower were clean but I wouldn’t go near that hotel again

Horrible room but great staff. Extremely dirty

I asked the front desk twice for another blanket for my room, as my friends room somehow got canceled and when I get back to the room at night it never showed up. No water anywhere to be found either! Not even a vending machine

There was no breakfast nor something to eat. Clients arriving from long air travel will have no choice but to buy a pricey snacks and bottle of water. Night staff aren’t client friendly! All of it…!
