Sam's Town Hotel & Casino, Shreveport

Rooms are in need of a major remodel. No outside food or drink allowed in the pool area but the bar is closed on the 4th of July weekend. Don't ever go on a Monday. Restaurants are closed. Ordered a steak and they were "out". Had to chase down waitresses on the casino floor. Slots don't pay and they refused to open the roulette table until 6pm even though several wanted to play. No store in the lobby and sodas and water from the deli are $4.00 and $3.00 each for 12 ounces. Breakfast sandwiches from the Deli went in the trash. Avoid at all costs! Go to Margaritaville!!!

Everything was so well with our trip, my Wife and I enjoyed the view from our hotel room,

Just stayed one night to sleep and get off the road as I was passing through town. Hotel was very clean, staff was awesome and spent/lost $40 at the attached casino. Easy location near the highway , but the room was super quiet. Overall an A+ stay.

The hotel and casino need revonations most of the returants closed early during the 4th of July holiday. We ate at Smokey Joe's and the hamburgers were great. The waitess was very nice and checked on us to be sure we had everything needed.

Very clean rooms

Well they need to up date the rooms and bathroom just a little behind when it comes to keeping up with the price.

Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Enjoyable overnight stay for our 36th wedding anniversary. Loved the garden tub!! Convenient to the Casino. Earned a few perks i.e late check out and 10$ off dining.

Love staying here. Morning shelf lady at check in wasn’t very lively even kinda rude. Like tired of her Job. Maintenance was kind and found us the chair that is normally in every other room we have stayed in..

The hotel is very outdated. The amenities in the room and hotel did not match the price of the hotel. The plastic cups in the room were old with holes that leaked out our beverages everywhere. We ate at the steakhouse and ordered our filets medium rare and got medium to well done. I wouldn’t recommend staying the night at this hotel, however the workers were all very nice.

Was a bit dissatisfied with the room since thee was no refrigerator, and also the AC wasn’t cooling enough. Otherwise everything else was nice

I just spent the night. Didn’t gamble or eat there so all I can comment on is the room. It was clean. Also room was big. Parking was kind of a pain. The free parking is across the street.

This place really need to just close down, it's pretty much a "ghost resort".... The food is disgusting n dangerous, we had a meal at Smokey Bones as well as a salad that made us physically ILL. The elevators do work properly with the key cards, the chipped wood around the fridge caused us to get splinters. the furniture in is so nasty n dirty...we were afraid to touch it... I heard numerous guest , sharing their disgust and confusion n sadness over the lack of services available at this resort that charges 11. 20/day..This was my last stay at Samstown😢..the excellent service, laughs n smiles shared with the staff over the 20 + yrs will be missed....not sure why it's still representing an 8.4 rating , it has to be the service the staff provides in spite of the property declining condition... it's definitely not for a resort style experience....

Very enjoyable stay

Room was not cleaned during the entire 5 day stay. Had to request towels. Front desk staff was not customer service friendly. However, the baggage assistance staff were service friendly.
