Ramada by Wyndham & Suites South Padre Island

We had a great stay at this hotel. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Luis in the breakfast area, who provided exceptional service every morning. He was attentive, kind, and made sure everyone had everything they needed. His positive attitude truly made our experience even better. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

This motel needs some serious TLC. Refrigerator was broken but they did replace it when reported. Rented a 2 queen suite with sofa sleeper, but that is not what I received! Instead of a sofa there was a jacuzzi in the room. Not practical for my stay! The same thing happened to my sister! Also requested (when booking and then called following day) to request my room to be next to my sisters room. I spoke to Tony and she confirmed that it would be next door, when I checked in it was not next door but 6 rooms down! After I told them I had requested online and called the day before checking in and was told they were next to each other, man in the front just stated you can request but there is no guarantee! They will not let you check in a few minutes before checking in time without wanting to charge you! So check in is exactly at 3pm! Not a minute before. Sheets had stains and holes on them, thankfully had taken my own sheets to put on beds. Towels provided had stains on them also. Bathtub was all rusty on the bottom and sink smelled so bad when you turned water in. Drain needs to be cleaned or something. Used their washer/dryer, washer did the trick but dryer did not blow out hot air so clothes did not dry. Overall, I would not stay at this motel again. I can over see a couple of things but when it’s so many things it’s just ridiculous.

The pool was a bit dirty, there was a leak in the bedroom ceiling, and there were a few cockroaches in the room; however, the breakfast staff were very friendly, and the waffles were excellent.

Dirty sheets, horrible smell, no hot breakfast. Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The pullout couch had the wrong sized mattress, the sheets were NASTY, and there was no other bedding available. When housekeeping came by the one time during our week trip they asked to come in I said sure and she handed me towels and walked away. There were WAY too many people in the pool. We could barely move around and still ended up taking a ball to the head. You are just asking for a broken ankle on the walkway to the beach. We have stayed here many times and I was VERY disappointed this trip it has definitely gone downhill.

They had a run down washer and dryer. Trash all over property. Service from worker at front desk not impressed Customer Service not there

Location was great. Pool looked dirty. Super cloudy water. No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in containers in the shower. We only had half a roll of toilet paper. Also the beds were soooooo sandy when we got there!

Pool. Room. Closeness to the beach. Park next to the hotel. Improve the quality of the rooms.

I would have thought when the room was cleaned the toiletries would have been provided. We asked for hangers, and both the person who brought the hangers and the soap were polite and efficient. The breakfast consisted of only waffles (pre-made), boiled eggs, cold biscuits and gravy (?). There is no elevator, and I currently on crutches. Fortunately, we were able to get a room on the ground floor. It is surprising this property as a Wyndham affiliate. It is significantly under par re our expectations. We frequent SPI, and we will not stay at this property again.

Rooms are not the best, not well kept. Received the wrong room.

The breakfast was good

Property shows age, but room was clean and beds comfortable. Sleeper sofa was very dirty and old so we used an air mattress for our 5th guest. Staff were constantly working on the property from pressure washing to other maintenance, so that was nice to see. However we received no room service during the duration of our stay. All shampoo, conditioner and body wash pumps in the bathroom were empty. We asked for them to be restocked, but no one ever came. Continental breakfast was just ok. Only protein offered were hard boiled eggs. But juice & waffles were great. Breakfast room staff were very friendly and animated, almost to the point of being annoying hollering and singing at 7 in the morning lol but we admired their joy and energy. This hotel had super close private access to the beach not to mention the fireworks show was a pleasant surprise. Overall, we would probably come again. Our number one requests for improvement would be offer more options at breakfast like yogurt or something and please give a little more attention to servicing the rooms. Overall, we had a great, memorable experience at SPI.

When I checked out I was informing the front desk and le left me their with out resolution due to a restroom break

While this is an older property, it was well maintained and very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Plus the price was great! Would definitely stay here again.

Luis made breakfast enjoyable. The pool was overcrowded and loud music was playing 8:00 till the pool closed at 11:00. For the price it was a good option if you're going to the beach. I would suggest getting the room on the second floor because I was on the bottom floor and it was noisy till after 12:00 it was hard to sleep. Definitely get one further from the pool also. On a budget it's an okay hotel to stay out.

Location is good. It was very dirty. And had bugs in the rooms. Sand all over the floor and the bed was really dirty
