Clean, breakfast, parking is free, staff was helpful

We had an excellent experience at this hotel! It was very clean and the staff were friendly. It wasn’t noisy and the breakfast was great.

Positive: A very helpful breakfast staff provided well-wishes on our way out. She made a coffee for me and offered to bring it to my van while I pushed the wheelchair.

They didn't clean rooms daily which was very unpleasant to return to after a full day of activities.

Spent 8 nights and most everything went well...would probably stay at the Tru Hilton again

I really enjoyed my stay in the state of Maine at this hotel . Staff was great. Rooms were clean, breakfast was a hot selection with great variety. Hotel also had a restaurant and bar that stayed open til around 11 or midnight. Great touch for business & leisure as guest as able to enjoy a bar & restaurant ambiance without leaving the hotel . Shuttle service immaculate. Providing shuttle service not only to the airport, but also across the street to Maine Mall as well as to restaurants within a 5 mile radius, which there are very many. Overall, I consider this one of my best vacations, favorite cities & favorite state because of all the wonderful amenities & convenience's offered when stay here. Truly this hotel has captured the idea of hospitality and a true essence of “home away from home.” I love this hotel and I think it’s absolutely amazing that someone can visit Portland, Maine from anywhere in the world and be taken care of as soon as they get off the plane. Honestly, I thank the great staff here who make everything comfortable for me as a guest.

Kerri the housekeeper was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed . Great location but wish it had a pool .

The hotel was very clean and completely enjoyable. However, the hot breakfast was REALLY bad. Fortunately, there was cereal, bagels and toast, which really can't go wrong. However, the eggs and the sausage were both bad enough that I could only take a bite or two before putting it to the side so I could eat the cereal and toast. The packaged butter was perfect, in that it was not so cold that it couldn't be spread. Nobody seems to understand the need for the butter to be room temperature so I was relieved that this staff got it.

The room was not clean, cobwebs on the ceiling, gum stuck to the bathroom door. The bathroom shower shampoo, conditioner, and soap were not on the holder for them to be used. When called for an early check in the lady was so rude it was unreal. When the pancake machine did not work the lady had a fit. Get rid of that thing cause it never works and always seemed to be a problem. Will definitely stay at a different hotel next time.

3rd visit to hotel. Area is a little down beat these days. Nice hotel but if can afford it stay in downtown
