Hotel Nova SFO

I am surprised this hotel has such a high rating. It is mediocre at best, which is probably to be expected at this price in this city. First of all, the check-in staff was wonderful and helpful. I missed my connection, and I had checked my bags, so I arrived with no essentials. I asked for a complimentary toothbrush/toothpaste. He said they didn't have them, but I could get them at the vending machine. I went to the machine, and it was out of toothbrush/paste sets. Staff called management and said he would have something in 15-20 minutes. Okay, that's fine. Went to my room and came back in half an hour. Yes, the machine had been restocked. But it only took cash! Who carries cash?? Well, I do, so I went back up to my room and dug out a $20. Back down, machine spits out my bill. I went to the desk, and he gave me $3s, $5s, and $ 1s. Back to the machine. It spits out the first 2 ones. But finally takes 3 for the toothpaste. I decide I want a candy bar. The machine takes my bills, but won't drop the candy. Back to the desk. He brings another 2 $1s; the machine takes them, and I finally get my candy (although not the candy I wanted because the staff pressed the wrong buttons — oh well). Finally, breakfast... Decent offering. They do have the ubiquitous waffle maker, white bread, muffins, and a couple of cereals. I go for coffee. No pot of decaf. Back to the desk. No, they don't have decaf--not even in the instant packs. I think it might be worth $20 to stay in a better hotel.

Staff was very welcoming. Location was very close to everything. During our check out ( I forgot his name) the concierge his charm, charmisa and ability to connect with us made the stay itself worth the trip.

Close to the airport Poor breakfast The taxi driver tried to charge me $ 62, from the airport ; he had no meter, no application . Told me the price AFTER the luggage was in the car !!"

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Hotel little dated but very clean. Car needed if going from hotel to Union Square area. Uber can be an expensive. 30 min ride but their arrival times 2-5 min. Which is great!

Good option is not Soo expensive however I barely could sleep last night because my upstairs neighbor Jesus Christ so noisy,however wonderful staff good service to and they need more breakfast variability

This hotel is very nice, friendly staff and the place is very clean with all the necessary amenities for a good stay at this hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back here when we’re back in San Francisco . A hidden gem!
