Residence Inn by Marriott Memphis Southaven

Location. Having a kitchen. Room was extremely damp. Had to buy a dehumidifier, which didn’t help. Everything in room was continually damp. We booked a king bed but got a queen and didn’t realize until we had unpacked most things in the kitchen and didn’t want to repack to change.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone

I didn't like anything, the service was terrible. I booked a room, but when I arrived at the reception desk, they told me they had no rooms left. I had booked the room in advance, so I had to pay again and find a room in another hotel. I didn't stay there overnight, I don't know what it's like there, and the fact that I couldn't even get into my room makes it clear that the place is an "hotel" in name only!!

The room was great. It was what I expected and more. Staff was great also. The went beyond their job description.

It needs some maintenance. The tack strips were bare and cut my foot. The staff seemed disinterested.

breakfast great a little outdated and blamed 3rd third-party booking for not getting the fireplace offered in the description. I am still a member, but regardless, I think it means to take things depending on the booking method, with payment still guaranteed. If not booked through Marriott, Booker may not get what they think they booked. They say to call.smh who would know that?

I would give it a less rating. Hotel took my reservation knowing they could not honor it. I was to stay 16 days and was told the day of check in that they were sold out. I flew in from Texas and had to find another hotel the following day because the hotel they put me in was also full.
