Bass Pro Shops Angler's Lodge

I expected so much more from a hotel associated with Bass Pro, but boy was I wrong. This hotel seems like there was a Motel 6 for sale across the street from the Bass Pro store so they bought it and slapped their name on it. Definitely not near the quality that I expected. Will not stay in again.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. The only exception which needs improvement is the very low profile toilets in guest rooms. They are equal to the height of those in lower elementary school where I was nurse. It is actually quite dangerous for older guests rising and sitting. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to use as home base. We hadn’t planned a stop here until we learned of the museum and aquarium; we ended up staying four nights!

Upon check in the air conditioner did not work in our room. When we told them, they just said they would look at it tomorrow. We told them we couldn’t sleep in a warm room and asked to be moved, she then put us in a double queen. Our next room was OK, the toilet was extremely low to the ground and had to get assistance to get off of it. Breakfast was OK.

This hotel does not appreciate 3rd party booking and will put you in the worst rooms they have if you do book 3rd party. ..and don't bother trying for ANYTHING (early check in, room upgrades, etc..), they claim to never have it, even if the parking lot is empty. Having stayed here twice now and seem the treatment firsthand I will absolutely not stay again

Breakfast was very good and good choices. It would be nice if the pool hours were sooner than 9am, and later than 10 pm. For traveling for events its very hard to use the pool with provided hours.

The hot tub keys were awful could not enjoy the hot tub. Not sure if they were set to high or what but all it did was hit you in the face. The bed was so hard and lumpy we were not able to sleep. Made for a very bad stay. Have stay at a couple Bass Pro places this was not at all what I expected.

I liked the whole stop here. It was laid back and the vibe was good. No one gave issues and when we needed something it was quick to happen. Cleanliness seemed 7/10. The pool smelled and felt like it was about 200 times over chlorinated, just walking into the pool room would burn your eyes. Also no notice at all about a family having a family reunion all that weekend, so people were always congregated in the lounging areas.

The stay was really nice and we enjoyed every minute of it! Can’t wait to do it again!!
