Courtyard by Marriott Springfield

The room was excellent size, balcony was nice perk. Quiet courtyard that made sitting outside at night very enjoyable! All amenities were in excellent order and everything was very clean. We traveled with 2 adults and 3 kids and would stay again in a heart beat!

It was a place to stay outside of DC and near the train. Could have been refurbished as everything was dated.

I did not get the room I reserved. I was given a room that was cheaper but was not given a refund for the difference. I was given a voucher for breakfast that I was not able to use but now time during my stay. I was very disappointed.

It was okay, nothing special just an average hotel.

The property simply needs to be refreshed and rehabbed. Rooms are old, wallpaper is peeling, gym is tiny and I saw a dead roach on the floor near the elevators.

Breakfast was good! I don’t love that the pool was closed M-W. We stayed an extra day and still didn’t get to go swimming. My kids were kind of sad,

Stay was no as envisioned as upon arrival I was told there is no pool access Monday-Wednesday(makes no sense) which is one of the reasons the property was initially chosen. Stay was reduced from 3 nights to 2 nights but charged for 3 nights with a staff that was unwilling to extend any accommodations to a lifelong Bonvoy member

Planned a trip to the DMV area and this hotel deeply disappointed me! I called the hotel the night before my arrival and was informed that I would be able to check in the earliest at 9am. I explained to the person on the phone that I wa driving in from Boston, MA and had a child with me and would need an early check in. I was told this could be accommodated when I arrived. I arrived to the property at 10am and walked into the hotel to check in. The lady at the desk did not smile or make an attempt to greet me happily. I explained to her that I would like to check in early and was in that there were no room available at the moment. I explained that I called the night before and was told that I could check in at 9am and she looked at me and told me she could not help me. I asked her when the earliest time that I could checkin and she rudely answered me and told me 3pm. I asked her if there was someplace in the area like a mall and she told me to google. I left the hotel and went to an area restaurant where I was informed of the area shopping places. When I returned to the hotel another lady by the name of Tony was at the desk! Tony was completely different from the staff that I spoke with earlier in the day. She was helpful and took her time to apologize for the way I was spoken with earlier! Although the pool was not available for use the room was clean and comfortable. Although I will not choose Marriott as my first choice when staying at a hotel, Tony made me feel better!
